Allegedly, Shak would only agree to headline , Coachella couldn't cover the production cost of her performance (knowing Shak's frugal stage designs this is hilarious lol) and offered her second place but she declined. 1
KKCuteCat Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Doja hasn't been exactly the touring force, has she? I'm not sure about Lana but for the festival, i don't think her music suits the vibe, which results in ticket sales

Bael Posted January 27 Posted January 27 There's lit not a single mega star in the whole line up. 2 1
RunUpDoneUp Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I thought Coachella was over since beyonce ended it? Guess they still floundering. 1 1
torontowest91 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 people spent all their money at ERAS & beyonce tours = broke

Teezy Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Ever since Beychella happened, there’s literally no use for the festival. That was its (legendary) peak. 2 7

Fleahive Posted January 28 Posted January 28 It used to baffle me how much people would pay to attend this 3 day event. Fast forward to 2023 I spent nearly 1k to see Beyoncé up close for 2 1/2 hours. Coachella doesn’t seem expensive anymore. People are probably scared of the heat after that hell of a summer last year.
Into The Void Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Isn't it like super expensive. Only the rich can afford this

Only the rich can afford this It's good value generally, and I think anyone with a job can afford it... this time tho the organizers bet on the festival selling out on its name alone. This proves that it's not the case and the lineup matters too. 1
The7thStranger Posted January 28 Posted January 28 A good festival will have you making King Solomon choices between your favorite bands because you're so spoiled for choice. ...I only see like five or six artists I'd want to see. I'm not a festival person, so it's all theoretical to me, but what about this line-up is supposed to entice me to spend all that money and be wildly uncomfortable for days on end?

It’s still an honor to play, obviously, but it was clear after Beyoncé’s legendary headline performance that nothing after could compare. I just saw the lineup for Primavera Barcelona this year and oh my goodness... Coachella got scooped big time Even the artists with smaller font are somewhat better and known.

Anyone who came after her are not performers, maaaybe Ariana but that’s it and yeah, I could see them going back to one weekend if the trend chasers and pop fans stop going Madonna put Coachella on not only a national map, but a worldwide one. It was literally crazy at that time, and there was so much resistance from the purists who didn't want Madonna tarnishing Coachella's allure. Lots of protests. Lots of anger towards her. She won in the end tho cuz her performance was legendary and the talk of everyone. And she was 47, maybe even 48. I wish I was there, I wasn't, but I was following a whole group of friends from different Madonna forums who were there and taking pictures/videos. but before her Coachella wasn't nearly as big/mainstream. 1
Afterglow Posted January 29 Posted January 29 They missed an opportunity to bank on Nostalgia. Lovers and Friends fest proved that.
loveisdead9582 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 The headliners and even the lower acts… I recognize a few names on there but this is a super weak lineup.
