Cheers Posted January 24 Posted January 24 That means next year they're gonna bring the big guns. Hope Rihanna doesn't plan on getting pregnant!

GeeDuval Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Shakira girl ! You dodged that bullet! Focus on the tour mami. 2
XAMJ Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Lana Del Rey , Tyler, and Doja are not headline worthy lol the entire line up is garbage
XAMJ Posted January 24 Posted January 24 also everyone dragging peso pluma when he is outstreaming everyone doja is the only one who outstreams him peso pluma is clearly bigger than lana & Tyler but yall aint ready
Kristie Kuwa Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Coachella peaked with Beyoncé. And thats the tea 1 9 1
Raptus Posted January 24 Posted January 24 They should beg Damon to go as Gorillaz instead of Blur. It's the only thing that can seve this disaster
Jack! Posted January 24 Posted January 24 The line-up is weak. Even the sub-stage performers aren't as strong as they have been in the past. This is the first line-up in a few years that when I go over all three days I could only pick a small handful of acts I'd be interested in.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted January 24 ATRL Moderator Posted January 24 Coachella is supposed to bring in headliners that you cannot find doing festivals outside of this show - like Gaga or Beyonce. Problem is, Lana/Doja/Tyler can all headline (or undercard) festivals across the US and WW and nobody would bat an eye and find it unusual.

I went last year and I was LOOKING for people I could go see… which actually was nice because I got to discover a lot of artists’ sets I wouldn’t normally see (like Shenseea). I’m an R&B girly, so the fact that we’re getting: - Jhené - Victoria Monet - Tinashe - Chlöe - Tyla, plus NO DOUBT?! I’m stoked!
Cruel Summer Posted January 24 Posted January 24 This is because they didn’t let Tinashe headline 1 2
VerdantHue Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) The headliners aren't as exciting but No Doubt would be fun to hear live. They haven't released anything new... Edited January 24 by VerdantHue
Amethyst Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Lana is the only one from the lineup who can sell out stadiums so back off. But I don't think the problem is in the headliners. The smaller names seem more irrelevant than they should be, (not queen Tinashe). But more than anything, I think that Coachella used to be THEE festival, now you can find similar festivals everywhere. All it has now is a legacy, that some people would rather not get associated with, actually. It's not as 'cool' anymore, kind of like Tomorrowland. 2
nuclear Posted January 24 Posted January 24 They should have let Shakira headline and should have given whatever money SZA asked. They need some legacy band in the vein of Radiohead. They should gotten Coldplay as well. The headliner should have been someone like Coldplay/radiohead, Shakira, and SZA/DoJA with Lana, Tyler, peso, and couple K-pop group such as twice and newjeans as as pre. Tinashe and Victoria deserve to be in the first line, I don’t care what anyone says.
SimpleKindofLife Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Between having to melt in the desert sun and having to smell a bunch of deodorant-less people there’s no way I would ever go to coachella
ontherocks Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Lana is the last one here to blame. She's the one who sells out big shows very fast like the stadium in Mexico City or Hyde Park in London. 1 1
imabadkid Posted January 24 Posted January 24 To be fair, the economy here in the US is rly weird right now. But we're not in a recession and consumer spending is still up so people have $$$$ to spend clearly. That said, I used to LOVE Lana and still like her music but if I'm being honest, I feel like she's one of those people that is big with chronically online people but IRL I don't really see people checking for ha. Tyler The Creator... I MEAN ... girl
