xicnx Posted March 2 Posted March 2 She sounds so good live, the outfit is perfect. So many vertigo reference, the man cage 1
Augmented Posted March 2 Posted March 2 The camera zooming out so you couldn’t see her being lifted then panning back to half her body in the next shot, not showing her properly perform the end dance moment…. 3
KatyPrismSpirit Posted March 2 Posted March 2 everyone on X is saying the camera work during the performance was ridiculously bad and that they missed many important angles... 1

bearman Posted March 2 Posted March 2 The YouTube stream has a tape delay because it's edited. They fix audio and technical problems. 1
Relampago. Posted March 2 Posted March 2 wtf she already performed?? I thought it started at 2pm central time

Spark Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Just now, MadMax12 said: Dua is the kind of artist who needs hits to promote an album. She’s in a similar situation with Katy’s Smile, just releasing droplet singles hoping one takes off. She will just release the album eventually regardless though It's not a similar situation at all. First of all, Dua actually has a fully completed album done unlike Katy who was just scrambling after Witness flopped hence the droplets. Secondly, Dua has critical acclaim, something Katy has never had. Dua Lipa's last album won best pop vocal album at the Grammys and was nominated in all major fields including Album of the Year. Houdini alone has outpeaked every Katy Perry single since 2017 in the US, let alone worldwide where Houdini is genuinely a BIG HIT, so even in terms of commercial success it's just not the same situation at all. This comparison is getting so tired on this site. 5
Relampago. Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I’m so tired of being disappointed honestly All my faves are flopping in some way 1

aaron511 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 A good performance Not a big fan of the song still but she did all she could. And she served amazing vocals honestly.
Owlie Posted March 2 Posted March 2 she did amazing great live vocals, entertaining dance routines & interesting visuals with the acrobats if someone found it boring then you are the problem tbh. What is she supposed to do - shoot herself out of a cannon? 3
mike_int Posted March 2 Posted March 2 She sounded great The last chorus dance was cool The rest was OK ... why no dramatic entrance? Its an opening of the show for God sake Live version of the song sounds even better than the album version. Overall cool but Grammy was better 1
Cottonmouth Posted March 2 Posted March 2 That was by far Dua's best performance. She finally did't look stiff at all. Training Season sounds so much better live than the actual audio - but I can't put my finger on why. The audio just lacks the punch the live performance has. The only think I hated was the camera work when the dancers were pulling her in air . They totally messed that up. 1
k4rmabutterfly Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Training Season is so much better live she’s really serving with her vocals this era

KatyPrismSpirit Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Grammys performance was better tbh. I wish she also did Houdini 3
RIKI232 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 That was a boring performance, especially compared to the Grammy 1 3

aaron511 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 A general comment I have for her performances - not every second has to be choreographed. They should give her some time to just bop around and serve attitude. 1
