RadioactiveLights Posted February 19 Posted February 19 "Houdini" is rising. Give this 4 months and it will be the one to rise. Every Dua release cycle is like this 3

She might struggle a bit to get a true smash this time around. They had Levitating on FN and didn't think it was a hit until after album came out. They even released Hallucinate before Levitating as a single. Hopefully DL3 has another case of overlooked song that they don't feel like could be a single which actually is a smash waiting to happen! I think they didn't want to release Levitating as a single because they felt like GP would dislike "sugarboo" and American audience would not like her British accent about laughing her ass off

While Dua previously led the charge with her brand-new release Training Season, Beyoncé's TEXAS HOLD 'EM now edges ahead and tracks for Number 1; though there's still all to play for. Fewer than 1500 UK chart units currently separate Dua's Houdini follow-up from Bey's first taste of her upcoming RENAISSANCE Act II album. TEXAS HOLD 'EM, which was released alongside 16 CARRIAGES following its premiere in a Verizon Super Bowl LVIII advertisement, debuted at Number 9 on last week's Official Singles Chart. In doing so, it became the pop icon's 22nd solo UK Top 10 hit. Beyoncé boasts a further 12 Top 10 singles as a member of Destiny's Child, including chart-toppers Independent Women, Pt. 1 (2000) and Survivor (2001). Should Training Season hold on to its predicted Number 2 position, it'll become Dua's 15th UK Top 10 single to date. Her last release, 2023's Houdini, debuted and peaked at Number 2, while Jack Harlow's Lovin On Me took the top spot. » Edited February 19 by Waydark

_Fey Posted February 19 Posted February 19 If no one said anything, I feel like it could have gone #1. But the update got the hive in formation At least it's Beyonce and not Jack Harlow.

Tistotal Posted February 19 Posted February 19 It probably won’t even debut #2 though she already lost her gap including physicals

She only had a 3k lead in the Sunday midweek, which is missing a day of streaming data and bolstered heavily by physicals, pre-orders etc. Beyoncé is miles ahead on every platform, so she would've flown past her today regardless. Dua was always fighting to stay top 5 by the end of the week. I'm hoping she manages to stay at #3 by Friday though, it deserves to be top 3 at least! 1
