Will we get album release date announced any time soon?

I hope they don't delay or scrap 3rd album after underperforming 2 singles, I want to have my album without waiting since it's been 4 years already :weeps:

I honestly never cared too much about charts, if you look at her career trajectory it has been at top of her main markets, and then the US serving a rollercoaster with songs slow burning to the top 10 and songs being a cute top 40 entry. It all will be fine in the end.

the only thing I need more of is era building. I don't need her to perform everywhere but what made the FN also very great is that she build out the era.

DSN had a very mixed response for the video, the performances gave a different aspect to the song and eventually the Live in LA gave it an other dimension.

Physical we had the original more artsy video and later the more on the nose fitness video.

Houdini had the musicvideo and later the London sessions, which was fun but essentially it was just a performance with flashy imagery.

We got the Grammy performance where she was doing the moves for Training Season with the cube and a musicvideo which both take a different approach, so I am curious to see and learn more.

I am not expecting a one-on-one of the FN  era copied, but it kinda leaves me wondering what this era is building towards. And it is not meant in a negative way, more that the approach is different and kinda hope to see more. Since beside Houdini and Training Season being different, they still feel like they belong in the same realm, much more than some FN tracks. And where FN more or less lyrically told a story, I would be very much interested to see Dua build more into an era that is done by essentually the same close group of people, labeled by her as feeling like a 'band'

But when did it start?

After spamming this for almost 3 days, I think my complaint would be that I wish it properly exploded one last time at the end after that excellent build-up/middle-8. Like a key change would have sent me to outer space!

I hope Kevin goes all out on one of the deep cuts.

Another flop in the basket, y’all acting like you don’t care about the charts but it’s obvious that she/her team/her label won’t release the album without a hit so you should be worried.

Houdini is a hit. This one will do just fine even if it doesn't go Top 20 in the US.

She's in her 3rd era and literally one of Warner's biggest artists, not some flop girl in album limbo struggling to launch her sophomore era. These takes are hilarious.

It will rise even more in the following days. No worries here. It happened with Houdini.

Both singles are excellent, this album is already far more interesting and has better quality than Future Nostalgia to me so she's good, **** the charts indie queen

I don’t usually listen to instrumentals but

the production and the guitar is insanely good. I love it :duca:

Looking forward to what the album will offer production wise :duca:

Dua Lipa is the kind of act who can only work with commercial success. If her label stops seeing a return on their investment, then the budget will go down for the next era. If the budget isn't there and she's not getting the best writers and producers in the room with her, then what exactly are we left with?

It's all well and good saying you don't care about the charts if we're talking about someone who can put out a project by themselves/with a handful of collaborators, but that's not going to work for a traditional popstar like Dua.

All the "the charts don't matter comments" :rip: they definitely do matter for Dua and the label, but this will rebound. Don't know why people are acting like this is a catastrophic bomb, this is literally the same trajectory for all her singles..? Even Levitating debuted in the 70s on the hot 100. Just relax and wait for the tik tok virality to kick in. I just want her to at least promote the song more, she was EVERYWHERE during FN. That's where she really shines

the way I read this while watching the music video at the same time, with her just sitting there bored in the spinning room
