All the women I know just listen to Taylor swift now, which is why Dua and Ariana are underperforming. Your friends have no taste Yeah, Spotify update isn’t cute. I hooe she doesn’t change anything and keep going with the sound and aesthetic. I really liked this song.
Club classic Posted February 18 Posted February 18 she shouldn’t have dropped DTN and have a break I think before starting this era

SayIt Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I think most people that usually follow Dua releases expected it to fall today due to it being the weekend It will gain and surge during the week similar to Houdini and everyone will love it again Not sure why people are so quick to react to every update when they know for Dua we need at least 2 weeks to see what general direction it will go Please don’t bash the song/Dua/her team just for one expected negative update only to love it again the next day 11

Songs with lyrics like New Rules, Levitating, Dance the Night (aka breakup, love and dancing) What Dua gives instead? Songs with lyrics like Potion, Good in Bed, Sweetest Pie (aka songs about sex) My aunt stans Dua Lipa but she is a typical casual soccer mom'd fan, she doesn't care about Houdini nor Training Season despite nice productions. She also said the title track names are weird and unappealing which I agree Hope there is family-friendly song on the album so that Dua can get her casual fans back on board If Houdini and Training Season are vulgar songs to you, please do not turn on the radio or leave the house in the past 30 years.

The music Dua created an amazing song and it will build over time and connect with the GP….stay tuned
Null Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I honestly feel like they should pivot on this minimal promo strategy and start “world-building” the era through performances. People aren’t really understanding the vibe she’s going for musically (which is a bit darker, more “sinister”, edgy, menacing). Her Grammy performance and the Houdini video give a good indication, but it’s too little for people to really get hyped up. Anyhow, both these songs sound nothing like what she’s done in her past era which was definitely more glitz and glam. They also don’t sound like anything that’s popular right now. Hopefully it’s not too late! 7

They tried to go the "instant smash cause of TikTok hype" route and build up the anticipation by releasing a long teaser 2 weeks in advance as well as perforing on the Grammys long before the song is out. So it's not like it's a completely new release that people need to get used to. The fact that they've failed with that and people are moving on shortly after hearing the full song is not a good sign for its' possible success at all Edited February 18 by Owlie
Saint James Posted February 18 Posted February 18 you should know i need someone to hold me close deeper than i’ve ever known

The fandom wanted her to try this new release strategy and despite not having instant success…… …..does not mean it is not a good sign for the song. The GP will need more time with the songs just like Ajay said in her review…. ….Houdini and Training Season are different dark, not flashy, no glitz or glamor like FN similar to what someone else pointed out…
SayIt Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Also the snippet teased and the Grammy performance give completely different vibes than the actual song…. ….I was a little shocked when I first heard training season, it was nothing at all what I was expecting…
BletaRexher Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Wish the organ was prominent like in the Grammy’s performance. It’s what the song is missing. 2
Shaner69 Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I got so many warnings and banned while I had both songs. Also got a bunch of hate bag messges. Honestly I can't say anything wright. I just felt like talking after this song finally got released. Please don't report me. I was butting my nails because I loved this song. 2
hallucinate Posted February 18 Posted February 18 starting the era in november was a mistake tbh should’ve waited until the friday before grammys
TalkThatRihanna Posted February 18 Posted February 18 The climax of the song after the bridge should’ve led to an accapala chorus like the one in the Grammy Performance at 1:14. Would’ve given the song that extra punch 3
Zkn Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Loving this way more than Houdini (which I also liked), looking forward the album How is It doing on the charts?

Some people are passionate and want the best for an artist especially when you really enjoy the songs. This is just the beginning and everything will go up from here! 1

Besides tour, brands endorsements and campaigns are the biggest money makers. Edited February 18 by mike_int 1
State of Grace. Posted February 18 Posted February 18 She's making her best music and this album is shaping up to be better than FN. If you're in it for the Spotify #s then this might not be your era. 8
Digitalism Posted February 18 Posted February 18 This album is probably going to serve Dawn FM numbers. At that would be totally fine
