allforyou Posted February 17 Posted February 17 This song is so CATCHY I've had it stuck in my head since her grammys performance. I wish there was a big high note at the end of the bridge but still I absolutely love this song, I'm really hoping it does well. I was hoping there would be a dance routine in the music video but I still enjoyed it either way.
FolkLover1989 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 The video is absolutely great Overdramatic dance and cgi has made you all lost the ability to appreciate minimalistic nature 4 1 1
Cqmerqn Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I’m not really liking this song, it’s quite minimalistic and not grabbing enough for me. I am worried about her chart performance though, she’s barely top 15 on Apple Music UK. I feel that she was worried that disco would backfire if she did it twice, but I fear it’s what the GP wanted. 1 1
bjorn Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Lmao the sentiment in here changed REAL quick compared to night song was released 1
mike_int Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Im so happy we are in era where artist finally releasing extended version and instrumental versions as well, I know it is not to feed us audiophiles but just to get more streams LOL but its a win win situations Need someone to hold me close Deeper than I've ever known Whose love feels like a rodeo Knows just how to take control When I'm vulnerable He's straight talking to my soul Conversation overload Got me feeling vertigooooooo 2

Listen the extended version on earphones and you will hear all the bass, guitar, organ, piano, drums and tambourine ... not minimalist, just missing climax on last chorus unfortunately 1
kyris89 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 More chart updates please (AM, spotify etc) and les whining. Thanks
West Coast Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Her new management is trash. Why are the booking her for irrelevant gigs when she should be performing everywhere and shoving the songs down the gp throat like she did for DL1 and FN 1
xicnx Posted February 17 Posted February 17 (edited) Spotify Global Artists Chart[02-16] #19[+16] Dua Lipa #18 is Sza and #20 is Rihanna. The day before yesterday on 02-15, Sza had 23.462M daily streams according to Kworb, while Rihanna had 24.579M, and Dua Lipa was at 15.304M. Therefore, Dua's discography gained at least 8 million streams yesterday, I fear!?! Edited February 17 by xicnx 1
Navyboy20 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 So I just listened and going to give my honest opinion. It's definitely a cute bop but it's a bit.... predictable. After listening to this and Houdini it doesn't seem like there's been much growth from Future Nostalgia to now. I can understand that her team wants to strike while the iron is hot because FN was so successful but the field is pretty crowded with Ariana, Beyonce and Taylor on the horizon. If she wants to be TOP DOG and snatch some #1s in the US this era she's going to need to take bigger risks with her sound. Otherwise, she should just focus on catering to Europe this time around. 2 2
glitch Posted February 17 Posted February 17 She needs to announce the album asap, before the BRITs performance anyway. It will probably do decently regardless of the single performances and she's always got the opportunity to push a couple of post album singles.

No, we dont want risks, we want bops and thats what she delivered
Solaria Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I’m just gonna say what I feel like most people here are feeling but don’t wanna say: she simply doesn’t wanna do that much promo in the form of performing anymore. Why book all these talk shows with small audiences when you can perform once or twice at the Grammys or Brits that immediately pull 5M to 10M viewers anyway.
xicnx Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I think the filtering on Spotify won't be as bad as Houdini's first-day numbers Since perhaps many people were looping the album's various versions this time, instead of looping the single That's why the extended mix gained 70k streams in an hour, just 800 less than what DTN did in its first hour

Well yeah I literally said I think she has grandeur issues and only wants to perform on big stages We’re probably getting BRITs and SNL on album release week, anything after that… good luck

I predict she will announce the album on Friday March 1st (or that week) cause Brits are on Saturday March 2nd where I expect great performance for TS and Houdini It would make sense. Album out on May 3rd ... gives 2 months time for pre-order, some remixes, possible Oscar performance, some talk show appearances and maybe one more promo track in April 1
