Relampago. Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I feel like this song is overall getting better reception than Houdini (although, I prefer Houdini), but to those who feel Dua’s not stepping up enough… how? To top FN would already be a tough task for any pop girl nowadays, but legitimately, when was the last time a pop girl had 2 singles back to back on the level of quality that Houdini and Training Season are? Ariana’s not doing it with yes, and? Taylor’s not doing it with Anti-Hero/Karma Doja’s not doing it with PTTR/Agora Hills Olivia’s not doing it with Vampire/BIR/GHB Tate’s not doing it with Greedy/Exes Bey has left pop for now and is firmly in her country era Rih, Gaga, Billie, Katy are all in between eras/retired. As was the case with FN, no one is doing it like Dua atm. Regardless of whether this smashes or not, Dua is definitely keeping up her end of the quality pop music quota. Truly no one on her level in that field as of late. 5 1

Looking forward to the album again bc maybe we will be getting some new flavors from miss Lipa I like how subdued it sounds

With this single, I feel refreshed and excited again.

Duanielipa Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The verses are so good but they always are with a Dua song

Plus, let’s be honest, DL3 has no chance to be as boring and lackluster as Think Later was. And if it is, I’m handing in my stan card INSTANTLY 4 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted February 16 Posted February 16 you cant compare houdini and training season to greedy and exes quality wise lets be real 7
Hephaestus Posted February 16 Posted February 16 You know what, I'm not enough of a fan to fend off Miss McRae all by myself Back to the topic, Vertigo Training Season SMASH!

KatyPrismSpirit Posted February 16 Posted February 16 the way the video only has 1.4M streams in 18 hours. Houdini already had around 5x this amount in the same time if im correct

And more are coming, probably Billie (but she needs to drop lead first) I think we will get the album in May tbh I'm only worried about Taylor and Ariana. Shakira needs a BIIIIIG collaboration on her album and Bey is gonna do country.
lapisnour Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Is it just my misperception or is the video severely flopping on youtube???

perpetual novice Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Good song but tbh this era is just lacking in ambition I think. It’s serviceable. 1 1

Cheers Posted February 16 Posted February 16 This flopping doesn't take away from the fact it's a BOP! Dua is the only woman giving us POP masterpieces these days.

Yes its true we are holding her to a higher standard because this is REAL POP. But then there is no climax/missing ad libs
Marry The Gods Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Her music ain't really hitting lately. It all sounds so 2019. 1 3
