I understand why the idea has been dropped but that would have made up for the lack of dancing, honestly... I'm surprised they didn't work on another concept in 3 months. WeFoundWill Posted February 16 Posted February 16 this def has too much edge for the GP. obsessed with it tho
BGKC Posted February 16 Posted February 16 This is much better than Houdini (which was decent). They both have a spooky yet upbeat type of vibe. I’m very excited about the album now.

americanshameless Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The slap that is the extended version Her best single since BMH
TryMe Posted February 16 Posted February 16 8/10 for me. It's a bit flat, but I can't actually pinpoint what I find flat. But the chorus is Superb.
sad girl Posted February 16 Posted February 16 can anyone else hear similarity to break my heart in this track or am i going insane? 4
djcalpal Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I'm SO HAPPY about this. It absolutely slaps, and the chorus is infectious.
Velvet Night Posted February 16 Posted February 16 For me personally, I enjoy this wayyyy more than Houdini. The chorus is already stuck in my head. 1

NostalgiawithDua Posted February 16 Posted February 16 @popmusic don’t be shy and drop the numbers and full day prediction, ruin our expectations so we don’t feel disappointed tomorrow…. 4

I'm not saying it's not good, just that I expected something different. The structure of the song for the Grammy performance worked/flowed so well. I was also shocked when I heard the studio version 1
mike_int Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The song is absolutely perfect, such a ear worm you cannot take the chorus melody out of your head. I would just change two things. 1) Intro should be the intro they used on Grammy's performance, it is much more punchy and catch your attention immediately 2) last chorus needs to be more dramatic, same issue like with Houdini. Instead of big anthemic climax you get the same chorus as you did at the beginning of song. Video is big disappointment. Looks more like visualizer than video. I wish they just rented some old warehouse and add the industrial structures like the "cage" from the performance and went that way. This one just kills the vibe. Overall, I'm happy for the song and hope we will get good quality album, I will rather have good songs than videos. We still have performances to come which will work as good representation of the song I hope. 3
makeme Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I really like this but I think I prefer Houdini overall 1

toy soldier. Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I'm sorry but y'all are just haters lol The song is great, pure catchy earworm. This is probably the best pop song we've had for a while
RIKI232 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 This song is AMAZING, but i still can't get over how weak this era is visually. the video... 1
jamiko1230 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Hmm...far as ratio of feedback and reaction this def. seems to be getting like at least ~7-8/10 very positive. Houdini was more like ~5-6/10. I personally like Houdini more but ya, this just has more 'instant hit', vocally & melody is more catchy, fully ready for radio and def. should've been the LEAD. But Houdini def. was good enough & not at all a momentum killer. As I've said many x, bigger 'issue' (w/ either song) was the original chosen date of release more than the song itself.
Opulence Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Now what are we gonna do when her BRITs performance is just a recreation of the music video 1

Auraeolux Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Great song, but definitely needed a key change or some type of last switch up for final chorus. 2
Johnny Jacobs Posted February 16 Posted February 16 It started so good but the flat chorus and it continued so anticlimactic The verses ate tbh. Shame 2
