Caltrask Posted February 16 Posted February 16 On AM, when i look at the lyrics, the word « vertigo » is highlighted. Album title confirmed ?

TOKYO. Posted February 16 Posted February 16 When is the ABBA’d version coming @RideOrDie @Supernatural.
Terylee Posted February 16 Posted February 16 A bop! Can't get it out of my head. I wish we would have gotten info about the album, tho. A preorder and a date.
Theluckyone Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Superb! Houdini is such an awesome lead, and this is equally as brilliant. I’m loving this era so much so far wowwww!!
Harrys Hairflip Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The extended version is godly. Love the psychedelic elements, a bop and a half

hallucinate Posted February 16 Posted February 16 she really should’ve dropped this the friday before the grammys though
TayDuaStan Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) I have a feeling those 2 singles are the “Good in Bed” & “Boys Will Be Boys” of DL3. She’s really gatekeeping the pop masterpieces until album release date. Edited February 16 by TayDuaStan 2 6
punisher Posted February 16 Posted February 16 lowkey feel like we’re getting solar powered minus the critical panning

Blank Space Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Are you somebody who can go there? 'Cause I don't wanna have to show ya Edited February 16 by Blank Space
Tangane Posted February 16 Posted February 16 It's nice but I definitely prefer Houdini... The song could really use something more punchy, at least we had the godly outro in Houdini! Here it just stays... there. I like the laid back aesthetic of the video, that's a clear departure from FN, but I was hoping for a bit of dancing. So was this song really supposed to be the first single? Because I heard the one she wanted release had like a war theme (in the lyrics or in the video) so it would have been in poor state given the geopolitical situation at that time. Did I misread that? Because 'Training season' doesn't give off this vibe, or maybe I should focus on the lyrics more. I love that she's doing what she WANTS to do and is not following any trend, but I also want her to smash because she's an amazing artist!

Like you wanna be this pop.queen and gay icon, and all you're giving is lifeless staring in the camera while drinking tea? No mam, inacceptable This has been ATRL's gripe with Dua since New Rules and it's so wrong. Looking like this is her thing. She gives cool, unbothered, a bit frosty. It works for her and feels compatible with her personality. She would look out of her element trying to serve dramatics
Gesi Posted February 16 Posted February 16 She is wasting her opportunity with this **** video again and again wtf no reply value. Why can't she just make a video like DL1 look pretty and with some other girls.
Truth Teller Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Anyway, the song is not great for me. It's solid but it feels like she tapped Tame Impala to do a re-imagined Break My Heart. I feel like the Kevin Parker / Harle get-together didn't amount to the big, genre-bending, forward thinking stuff it was (probably) supposed to. 1
Vermouth Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Song is 8/10. Not certain era is going to be as big or immediate as FN given the soundscape is denser and darker, and more “difficult “. That’s fine, it shows development for longevity (please anyone saying this sounds like FN - get an ear transplant), and as one of the few fans (I feel) of Garden from DL1 I’m here for it. Video. Well I rewatched it a couple of times at several hours distance from each other and I revised 2/10 to 3/10. If they’d put a series of stills of her looking utterly beautiful as she’s does, it might’ve done almost the same job. It only makes sense if the budget really was blown on an original scrapped one, and they ran this one on what they found in the office coffee fund jar; which was $3.14, a Euro, a paper clip, and an old button. ReachOut Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I really like the song, but still expected more punch from it; it feels a bit flat.
