GlamSlam Posted January 23 Posted January 23 William Orbit discussing Madonna in Rolling Stone Magazine (January 22, 2024) https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/madonna-producer-william-orbit-music-album-1234951654/ “I sometime close my eyes and dream of creating another ‘Ray of Light’ album with her" 5
Maroonx Posted January 23 Posted January 23 only if he gives us another 'Frozen' and 'Power of Goodbye' x 1
suburbannature Posted January 23 Posted January 23 He’s been making garbage for 20 years. We will pass. 1
ArtForFreedom Posted January 23 Posted January 23 He got involved with writers for BEP.. hopefully he has ditched them. I'd love another Love Spent though
Bubble Tea Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Madonna should look forwards, not backwards. Madame X is a weird but incredible album. A real return to artistic form. 6

readytowind Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) And He knows that the queen is going to brazil this fall maybe he talked to guy oseary in london shows and heard of it 😂 Edited January 23 by readytowind
chromatico Posted January 23 Posted January 23 B***h me too, tf it truly is one of the best albums ever recorded but unfortunately I can’t see Madonna trying to re-create something she has already done in the past. 1

ohwow Posted January 23 Posted January 23 he did have the best tracks on mdna, which was otherwise a mess so maybe a cute session with 1-2 tracks on the album, but lead producer? idk

Graves Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I'm here for it. They made good stuff even on MDNA. It's kinda funny, since I've see a lot of boomers talk about how Madonna's only good record is Ray of Light and they like to say that it's all down to Orbit and not her. Meanwhile, Orbit himself is a massive Madonna stan - he knows the tea. 2

Jjang Posted January 23 Posted January 23 that would be the best decision she’s done in a good while.
TipToe Posted January 23 Posted January 23 William Orbit is very one-note, i think he can only do much with his style and Madonna was capable of bringing the absolute best of his skills. That kind of magic only happen once, been there done that kind of thing. I don't want to hear a ROL tribute-like alberm, i want novelty.
UnusualBoy Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I think she still has in her another ROL & COADF but as long as she keeps hoping on current trends it won't happen. Get it together queen!

SpaceOddity Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I doubt she has it in her to go full on left field to a Ray Of Light type level although no one thought she'd do something like Madame X. She's too out of touch and self conscious about being a hitmaker nowadays, she needs to let that **** go, then maybe it could happen.
atemyheartinc Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Since he worked on most of the standout tracks on MDNA I'm actually here for it. Love Spent still is one of my favorite Madonna's tracks from her most recent albums. Falling Free too. 1
liquiddiamonds Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Madonna was not trying to be alternative with MDNA. Orbit is a great producer, but it’s clear he shines brighter when producing downtempo or alternative music. His 90 productions for Madge, Blur and Beth Orton are all immaculated. It depends on what Madonna wants to achieve. Let’s be real the mid-90s alternative girls really inspired her to take her music to places she never tried before with ROL. If she goes by what is trendy right now… good luck with that. It’s going to be mixed feelings like with Mirwais Edited January 24 by liquiddiamonds
