Mandalore Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) To be fair Succession started as pretty niche and lowkey and worked its way up to pop culture relevancy and discourse by simply being very good TV. True Detective is still benefitting from the goodwill of that smash first season. Also Jodie Foster is a legend. No one on Succession was on that level when it first aired. (except maybe Brian Cox?).
