Album Leak Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) The SHAMELESS ripping of assets I think the most offensive thing in all this is when the owner of Palworld's company said that '' oh we are not at all inspired by Pokemon, it's an interesting comparison for sure but we are actually inspired by Dragon Quest! '' like damn, he is a stunt queen atp. Edited January 27 by Album Leak 1

Bosque Posted January 27 Posted January 27 The Pokémon fans big mad because their franchise has been serving Pussycat Dolls at the 2006 AMAs: Meanwhile Palword is serving new MPG in her Imperial Phase: I promise you guys can escape this abusive relationship! 2 9

Digimon, Yokai Watch, Dragon Quest and Shin Megami Tensei have all had overlap with Pokemon in many ways, but none of these franchises have stolen from each other. Palworld is a cool concept, but the CEO ran out of money and just stole from a different IP. And the fact that people are defending that is so weird. 2

People are unleashing all their pent up anger over how mishandled Pokemon games have been during the Switch era, which is all fine and dandy, but it has some really unfortunate side effects like just... deliberately putting their heads up this game's ass and being dumb about the very clear plagiarism accusations. And then there's the weird political side to this where some people think it's anti-capitalistic to steal from a huge company, not understanding that to be okay with plagiarisation of products of big companies, it opens the doors (even further) for big companies to steal from fans and smaller companies. And then there's the weird techbros and rightists who hate artists and AAA video game companies for being woke, so seeing this indie company dumpster on AAA companies is a win for their political agendas, whether it's AI art becoming an industry standard or something something video games are so woke something something. It's just... a lot of bad **** piled on top of each other. 6 1

Pokemon Swith can't related to any of that.

Miss Fortune Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I've spent my life playing Pokémon but the reality is Pokémon games have sucked for a long while. With the latest open world games, they had a chance to do something EPIC and instead, they served a buggy flop. Palworld has come along and done something interesting, visually stunning and it's leagues ahead of the latest Pokémon games. If you are TRIGGERED you have no ability to critically think. Stop defending a company who are taking your dollars for subpar games despite having the MOST INTERESTING IP of any franchise in history. The switch had Breath of the Wild from RELEASE so there is literally no excuse. It's lazy and uninspired and I hope Palworld lights a fire up their arse. 5

I think a lot of fans wanted a adult pokemon game for the longest as all their fans are adults and it would do well. I hope this does light a fire under pokemon lazy azz team and everything they've done has been mid af but at least scarlet was cute. All my friends have been enjoying palworld. 1

They can try to sue some of the characters tho.
Magickarp Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Wait, not this actually being made by an actual Small Indie Studio They only have 26 people
