It's strange that he would be told to be quiet about it when the dancers must've been provided with some type of health insurance surely? Also while I can easily believe Richie being an ******* given his history, I'm a little shocked to hear Bobby being accused of the same thing.

Everyone is trying to keep their jobs and not upset the person above them. That's why Richie kept telling him to keep it quiet, that's why Bobby swept it under the rug even though he apparently talked to the dancers. They want to keep Gaga happy so they keep getting paid but that creates a toxic atmosphere for the people at the bottom of the pyramid. Sadly, it's like that in every work environment, much more so in show business where dancers are a dime a dozen, they get treated inhumanely.

He most likely suffered from a precondition or didn’t follow the health and safety procedures if it only happened to him.

Having said that, this story is missing a lot of context

Graham has been with her since Monsterball tour. He should not be treated like this.

It sounds like he had some sort of infection that wasn't treated properly and wasn't directly an effect of the music (as funny as "that's what listening to Boys Boys Boys every night will get you" jokes are).

Can you put context, this happened during the Monster Ball Tour. Your post makes it sound like it happened during the Chromatica Ball or something :deadbanana2:

the picture in the original post is clearly from the Joanne World Tour, you don't think his hearing has gotten worse over time?

I can’t believe that some people are acting as if he did something wrong here and calling him things like “ungrateful brat.” :biblio:

He was told more than once by a trusted personal friend who was in a leadership position that if he made a big deal out of this, he would lose his job. As a young dancer just starting his career, he probably believed that would have meant losing that entire career. One of those times was after being denied worker’s compensation - when he would presumably have had the chance to appeal or eventually sue Live Nation. It seems that he didn’t do those things because he was illegally led to believe by a superior that he would lose his job. He then goes on to describe verbal abuse from people he considered friends throughout the rest of his time there.

Yes, he also makes it clear that he doesn’t believe Gaga ever even knew, and no, he doesn’t imply that she has any responsibility for the situation. But if she does know now, then I do think there have been more than enough allegations about Richie’s behavior and the environment he created and encouraged to justify firing him.

Why does Gaga always find herself close to people who are abusive and problematic?!

She needs a massive overall of her team.

She can’t be all about kindness publicly, and then keep people like Richie in her close circle.

FYI Bobby wasn’t her manager nor was Richie the lead choreographer at this time so what exactly do you want her to do?  Both people who would be held responsible for this were fired (Laurianne) /parted ways (Troy).

He went to Live Nation and they scared him off with a bunch of threating calls/letters from their lawyers.

This isn't only about Laurieann, Richy or Gaga. This is about big corporations not doing enough for their employees and making sure dancers are being treated with respect, and not like disposable human meat.

Gaga and Pfizer better do something about this

Ahh I see, okay then that is really horrible (aside from Laurianne likely not giving a f**k).  I always assumed tour dancers wore protective ear equipment or something like that, so reading about this was really surprising that it wasn’t this way until recently.

The least LiveNation could have done was cover his medical expenses, but I guess that would be a form of admitting they caused his hearing loss.  They could have done so and made him sign an NDA to not speak about it, but I’m guessing that wasn’t offered.
