liquiddiamonds Posted January 20 Posted January 20 It’s Normani’s on-going debut era Witness, Art Pop, they were messy, but they still rolled with the music and did the correct promo. The music failed to stick or antics got in the way. Joyride faced label issues but it end up coming out. Normani is one of the biggest fumbles ever atp. She will never have the opportunity again Queen was messy too, but in an entertaining way. The album had a normal rollout Kelly Clarkson’s My December is also a messy rollout because it lowkey almost killed her career worldwide and all because Clive Davis wanted to put Kelly in her place and show who had more power
Frappucino Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I’m not a stan but getting to witness the Renaissance era as a casual fan was very entertaining and I for one lived for the mess, I’d say it’s actually my fave Bey era I also actually have a special place in my heart for the ARTPOP era Maybe I should switch positions when it comes to my avi before I ruin it

Havoc Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Britney Jean. It was marketed as a "personal" album when the artist didn't even sing on the record.... 2 1
BoDaToe Posted January 20 Posted January 20 For me it’s My December. Shelving it then releasing it the same day as Hannah Montana 2. The poor single choices, which Kelly is partly to blame for since she wanted those two specific songs out first. The canceled tour. The label offering her money to record “radio hits” which included a Lindsay Lohan album track. The girl couldn’t win back then. Touring with Reba and, as much as she hates it, releasing MLWSWY saved her career. It’s really her ArtPop and Reba her Tony. 1

They wanted to give 1 Thing to another artist, then she leaked it. Her album and era and career overall wasn't supported by the label anymore.
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Artpop and Witness are the correct answers. Everything went wrong for Gaga and Katy.
NordicGuy Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Queen - Queen radio in its entirety - The first week album sales against Travis Scott and the mess that ensued - The Queen voucher code that accidentally let people download any album from Tidal for free and all the fake names and addresses people came up with to download dozens of free albums - The tour and the gif that got updated every few days with electric clowns and the map of the Irish sea etc. I don't know if it was the messiest era to ever exist but it sure as hell was the most entertaining mess I've seen unravel on this website.

suburbannature Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Glitter and nothing comes close - Bomb movie - Mariah’s “behavior” being mainstream news for an entire summer - Mariah hospitalized twice for mental health - Real label and ex-husband sabotage - Stolen lead single - 9/11(?!) The album has received recent acclaim from critics so all is right with the world now.
Saddy Posted January 20 Posted January 20 4 hours ago, playboi said: Glitter and it's not even up for debate The movie was panned, the music was panned, both tanked, the lead single was stolen, Mariah had a breakdown which led her to psychiatric care, 9/11... not a single thing went right This
Stallo Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Not the messiest ever, but Anti had so much potential won in the end purely because of the music.

Roger's "no singles only songs" is stupid :( released song every week, like what... Also, This Love & Should've Said It deserved to be singles
lonnie Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Anti - Fans were sent looking for keys in parks and random places to get "access" to rooms that didn't lead to an album - Album droplets over the year leading to release that never even got to the album - Producers (John Glass) on the album having meltdowns on social media and leaking information about the album before release - The whole Anti-Diary fiasco with stellar visuals that weren't even incorporated to the album - Tidal botching release and leaking/releasing the album before the planned released date that led to the infamous 460 first week sale - Cancelled Grammys and VSFS performances - Work's initial video cancelled and shelved - Love On The Brain having no video, having performances before the single was released and left for dust after release and peaking inside the top five despite having no promo - A messy tour announced and on sale before the album even had momentum/some dates done before the album even dropped like Chile with little to no promo - The album losing all eight of its Grammy nominations
