babycomeround Posted January 23 Posted January 23 She's definitely made her mark in pop culture and is above MPG status. But the lack of creativity musically is disappointing. It feels like she's lost her spark. 1
Great808 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Ppl still call Katy an MPG while her last album charted for less than a month. I would definitely say yes.
DoubleRainbow! Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I don’t hear people talking about her that much 1 1 2
shark_heather Posted January 24 Posted January 24 What kind of thead is this on the celebrity section
PrudenceHCharmed Posted January 24 Posted January 24 It's insane that her last solo number one was 13 years ago. If it was another girl, she would be dragged for filth by now.

ClashAndBurn Posted January 25 Posted January 25 She hasn't really been culturally relevant in over a decade. ASIB was a cute little rebound, but it didn't last very long all things considered, and now... her most recent singles ("Hold My Hand" and "Bloody Mary") have failed to even make it to the Top 40. So really, she hasn't been a MPG since "Applause." But I don't think she's wanted to be since then either. 1 1 2
