Soda Pop Queen Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I mean, 8 slightly altered versions of the same song is excessive af lol.
Phaunzie Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I hope a certain fanbase isn't kiking at this despite their fave doing far worst tactics. This is the industry standard at this point, so the dragging is unwarranted. 1
Hustler Posted January 20 Posted January 20 While being a tactic to secure higher positioning on charts and inflating sales, I wonder what’s wrong with it. I also see it as more content given to the fans (sans the horrible sped up / slowed down trend, which I dislike but that’s me), so I’d say it’s a win win for everybody. Sure having so many versions out in a little frame gives away the meaning of why it’s being done, but then again albums being sold with 12 consequent different covers are no different (or daily re-releases with just one song being added). Thing is that, as usual, once your fave does it all is ok. Then the artist you dislike does it so and suddenly they’re desperate games.
Babyjak Posted January 20 Posted January 20 the mental gymnastics from a certain fanbase to try and convince us their fave doesn’t use the same gimmicks to snatch a #1

All so close to the debut of the orignal its the way the remixes and version are released tactically not just for the fans their intended purpose is chest and chart higher. It’s so blatant that billboard will ban it and then we won’t get remixes at all

I actually don't care how many versions she's releases, I believe an artist should do everything possible to be successful. My problem is with stans being huge hypocrites and just finding a problem when certain artists do it. This dumb whataboutism doesn’t work on ATRL cause everyone gets dragged all the time. Ariana has been skulldragged throughout the week, please TRY to even read some posts before posting this blind victimization statement.
Bethenny Frankel Posted January 20 Posted January 20 if she does all of this to not even get #1 that would be hilarious

First of all Ms Swift looks musty on all multiple covers, especially on those cheap tragic 1989 covers where she looks like she smells like wet dog, so idk why she think selling her photo is anything worth purchasing. Craziest thing is that, by this forum's demographics, chances are you are a middle aged man with prostate problems, talking about a woman like this. And you won't get any WP. 1
Frappucino Posted January 20 Posted January 20 (edited) People born yesterday are so funny, what do you mean the music industry has always been doing things like that. It’s called promo and some of you be so brain dead to not realize marketing; half of y’all use streaming services for watching movies and tv shows and if you had to pick you’d choose no ads, so how the f is she gonna do promo? By releasing different covers to generate a buzz. I’m so glad I don’t work in the music industry cause I’d be dragging y’all behind the scenes to hell and back. tl;dr yes, and? Iaintsorry Posted January 22 Posted January 22 This whole swifties vs arianators is so weird. Both fanbases attacking eachothers faves marketing schemes when they have the same label lol
