The View discusses Madonna late start times

Yikes, this is picking up a lot of mainstream media attention. Queen, get it together so these shows can focus on discussing how groundbreaking your show is, rather than this garbage :giraffe:

Leave this legend alone.

I’d like to know how often they are late to tapings before they open their mouths next time because I have heard they’ve kept audiences waiting themselves.

I've been seeing some variation of this headline my entire life. I wonder if it's her pr team at this point, I feel like there's zero overlap between people who want to see Madonna enough to pay hundreds of dollars and people who don't understand they need to show up AFTER the time on the ticket.

I was just about to watch this, I hope it’s good, I love the ladies, I love Alyssa, she’s the Madonna of politics 😅

Half the people they named as examples of timeliness are frequently late themselves :deadbanana2:

This is getting ridiculous. Though it is not normal to frequently start shows hours late. Be respectful to those who feed you.

Good. :clap3:

2+ hours is ridiculous and uncalled for. Do better Madge. The people pay their hard earned money and set aside their time to see you, be considerate. This is not just a Madonna issue, it applies to any artist.

Not always. They tape ahead of time sometimes (or consecutive shows).

I've been to many a concert and I don't recall one of them ever starting on time

Just because she’s a legend doesn’t mean she’s immune for a criticism on this. Glad this topic is entering the public consciousness.

Right? Two hours after the advertised start time is too much.

She did something that people negatively react to.. so I am NOT surprised that it was picked up by mainstream media and tv shows. I was pleasantly surprised that Sunny and Ana seemed to not obsess over it.

I don’t know why you guys are trying to justify Madonna actions as normal . Two truths can co- exist. Is she one of the greatest legends of all time ? yes. Is that an excuse for always starting your shows late? Especially 2 hours late, hell no !

Yeah I agree with the OP: as you said it's a brilliant show but the wait is ridiculous. Maybe she has a prestage ritual.

Being late isn't only frustrating for the audience but it's unfair for everyone working in transport as 15,000 people have to get home from an arena late at night.

I know us super fans will wait a few hours but we're obsessed, most people won't and that's completely fair as they should be given respect as consumers. It's a shame because the show itself is of high value both production wise and performance wise but the lack of communication from her team regarding the lateness is low.

Stop bringing that garbage show.

I never paid attention to that flopping show until they dragged all the women in music only to bash someone and do 'a false advertisement'.

Not this.

Haines continued, "Beyoncé? Always on time. Taylor Swift, Pink, that's called respectful.

i know every media used to hate on madonna in 1992.

but not this.

always?

they even drag other women.

always on time???

thats not a respectful fact either.

false propaganda and advertised information.

that angry lady is no better then.

she is saying like bey and others are saints and perfect.

they are always making nice images of someone or specific artists they love over another targeted and hating artist.

They've always done that since the 80s.

comparing each one that they love to make someone they dont love look bad.

how cheap and dumb! pitting  preferred ones against other female enemies.

but they dont do it for men.

they do make that barrier and fight for women.

sexist.

ok. i know you scream you are a bey stan. but sit and talk about facts. do not preach false advertisements over other girls respectfully. just to make another woman more bashed on the occasion. how low she is.

LOL

I'm like shut your flopping mouth.

:tsk::coffee2:

I literally don't know why she insists on doing this, it's so unprofessional and she's never unprofessional. Is it because she can, like you fuckers will sit there and wait for me? I can't imagine waiting 2+ hours for a concert to start, I would be drained before the lights even went down. She needs to get it together.

This, were they even talking about the tour before this? This is her 40th anniversary celebrating her career and all were getting is negative stories all over the press. But she has done this herself. But I also think is foolish to sue her since they've done this before, so why go again?

Of course it’s you out here spreading misinformation :skull:

The View is a LIVE SHOW. If they’re late the show doesn’t air.

Shut the **** up and don't go. If you are not happy. Simple.

As she said , **** off.

You dont deserve her show nor lateness. Just don't go then.

All the media such as this flopping show have shut their mouth about her brilliant show and 40 years celebration but come out of two bitter queen's lawsuit and pollute **** over someone for pure hatred on the occasion.

How shady and disgusting.

Madonna didn't beg you to come to her show. She Never said she would start her show at 830. Those bitter and failed queens attended in every tour according to his own confession. This tour they stayed and saw everything. Even overpraised it to otheed.

But why  becomes bitter and throw **** for money? Just fckedup head.

Seeking attention on the media?

If you can't stand it, get off of her street. Why is it that hard?

Glad this is getting more attention. It’s not just Madonna but all artist shouldn’t be 2 hours+ late to there shows. I don’t care what Madonna fans say. Any backlash Madonna gets for this is will deserved she needs to be more professional with her time.

It amazes me how many interviews Madonna has done just in the last decade, yet no reporter has ever dragged her for being late.
