Fans sue Madonna for “false advertising” after starting shows late

Not everybody lives in the city where a concert happens and it's not about rushing to go home, there are several people moving with different means of transport that often are not being available after a certain hour, not to mention if you have a flight to take.

Plus there are professions where you don't have the luxury to just take random days off.

All the lame excuses from the people are not that right either.

Next morning I have to work, transportation blah blah.

Madonna didn't make you have a job which you have to wake up early. She has no responsibility for your transportation. Get a car or something. That's your travel adjustment and plan. That's your life and ****.

They never travel? It's your responsibility to make proper plan and travel and adjust your own schedule accordingly. she has no responsibility for your own personal affairs which have to be taken care of.

She never said you have to come see her in spite of your debacles in life.

So if you don't like it, dont go then.

She will have a party with the rest who can.

They just take this opportunity as throwing their own basic **** to someone else.

She never said she would start on 8 30. It's very dumbass noise from bitter queen's.

What's responsible from her is that she puts on a great show.

She's not your personal secretary nor a housekeeper nor a hotel desk manager nor a rental car service owner.

That's all I'm seeing.

^ That's a very disrespective and delusional post. Plus, you don't OWN Madonna or this thread, people have the right to criticize things they don't like. You don't have to be like a broken record and write same things over and over. Let people went if that's they want.

The ticket literally says start time is 8.30. Not everyone is on forums to know that Madonna likes to come on at 10.45. I love her and everything but this is not it.

I hope they win and it creates a ripple effect on others doing the same.

It's ridiculous a show is advertised for na hour and you have to wait 2-3 hours for a 1 and a half hour show.

I hope they win… artists need to get it together.  It’s become normal to start several hours late with zero consequences.

People should be well informed about the program. If it says 8:30 pm showtime on tickets, people would expect Madonna to appear at that time. But if they indicate that opening act will perform and then after 9-9:30 pm, Madonna will take stage, then there won't be so much noice. And nobody HAS TO KNOW that Madonna is too late, people are busy with their lives and they have more important things than follow forums, etc. Plus, Madonna concert is a bucket list for many people and people want to have fun and see the legend live. And this miscommunication ruins the fun because either they have to go early or they have to find a way back home. People might plan accordingly if they are informed that she'll be on stage at 10 pm.

They are informed, it says 20.30, since the 80`s she has supporting acts as almost every performer, so the start by that time not her, so expecting her to start at that time is dumb. Go to a festival with a lot of bands/performers and you will see if the start in time. If people are busy and have more important things to do, well don`t go to a concert, go to a museum,or something else. When i go to an event like this, i plan, even if they are on time or not. I wonder that these people who complain are in time in their work?

Madonna is literally running at a different speed, she’s not getting any younger and she still putting on a show like this at this age. It looks like I won’t be able to catch her show at my city but I wouldn’t have the audacity to even throw a complaint at her if I made the damn decision to be there in the first place, it would’ve been a great opportunity to connect and make friends with fellow Madonna fans. It’s sad some people can’t show a little more compassion given her age but also it’s lowkey inspiring, I hope I get to get to that age and still be making waves.

I think Madonna should decrease the number of shows in the us next time she tours.

By seeing all this free hate and bully which is not surprising to me when judged by the 80s and 90s.

they don't deserve her.

She's survived from the biggest backlash and constantly put out brilliant tours throughout her entire career and decades.

They don't even honor her contribution to the industry and those bitter fans dont even appreciate the fact that she's still alive and doing hard works.

As a fan im really moved to see this woman be alive healthy and constantly work with passion.

how previlidged as a fan?

many others from the 80s dont have that luxury.

Some of her fans are really spoiled and dare to join those money grab ******* lawyers who seek money hunting. They don't deserve her.

I want her to go to other countries with few shows in the us just like she did during the Girlie show.

She's more loved and revered outside the us.

The media in the us is also very nasty. They don't even search but just blame and witch hunt her as interviewing those losers to get more attention.

They've been doing it to her basically for all her career years.

To end her.

All the people here carrying water for the half-billionaire who charges fans 4-figures for a show and treats them with little respect.

Arena concerts are highly structured corporate projects that are carefully scheduled and sold to customers based on that schedule. The thousands of people who purchase tickets plan their work, transportation, childcare etc around that schedule.

The performer missing the committed-to schedule by 2+ hours at every single event implies that it is not accidental or unavoidable - and even that there was never any intention of honoring the committment. I could see a judge not having empathy for Madonna about this.

That’s… exactly the point, lol. Thousands of customers planned their lives around the schedule that was sold to them.

Which never said madonna would start at 830. Its clearly stated that The schedule is subject to change.

The door opens at 730. There's a supporting act. It's a common knowledge  that it would never start at 830.

Next.

I mean there's a lot of contend with here

Madonna is at the forefront of these shows meaning of course it is her who will get the backlash for lateness.

However I'm not saying its not her fault, since its her responsibility to deliver a show on the time advertised.

However, we don't know the real reason for her lateness and there could be many contributors involved that are out of her control that we simply just don't know about.

She's definitely not lazy either, she's on a world tour ffs at that age!!

Was watching the local TV news here in the Philippines and I was shocked that this story came up! :bloo:
