Was watching the local TV news here in the Philippines and I was shocked that this story came up! :bloo:

Madonna might be coming to your country for the extended tour in asia.

She toured there in 2016.

Will you go if she comes this time?

Yes I saw the Rebel Heart tour. I don't remember her being this late though. Probably an hour tops which was fine considering the awful traffic situation in Manila. It gave ample time for fans to arrive at the arena and catch the full show.  Will I watch her again? Sure! She puts on a great show but tickets prices were exorbitant then (her Asian grosses were the highest for the RH tour) and I fear it will be more so this time around.

Yes she set the record for the most expensive ticket prices and lucrative grosses in Macao in asian history back then. In Hong Kong and Taiwan she set the record for the counties then too.

She should tour the stadiums there for a little lower average ticket prices there this time I hope.

That will give people more affordable prices.

The more people, the less expensive tickets

Those fans only seek money, which… is kind of doing too much. I get its annoying you had to wait two hours but why do you need damages for this? Like what money did you actually lose because of this…. cmon now

According to the article, they endured costs for private transportation due to public transport being unavailable

All the people here carrying water for the half-billionaire who charges fans 4-figures for a show and treats them with little respect.

Arena concerts are highly structured corporate projects that are carefully scheduled and sold to customers based on that schedule. The thousands of people who purchase tickets plan their work, transportation, childcare etc around that schedule.

The performer missing the committed-to schedule by 2+ hours at every single event implies that it is not accidental or unavoidable - and even that there was never any intention of honoring the committment. I could see a judge not having empathy for Madonna about this.

:rip: Not Monsters subtracting hundreds of millions from her net worth now.

Forbes made that estimation back in 2013 (and even then it was low). In 2023, she was estimated to be worth between 850-950m, but to be frank, If she didn't have so many oveheads and hadn't donated millions to charities she would've been over a billion.

This tour will push her back into the billionaire club. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/madonna-net-worth-skyrocket-due-123026020.html

and she isn't late "every single night" considering she was actually early for some of the European dates. I wish OMH'would get their facts right for once. lmao

Madonna is not a billionaire.

She is a trillionaire.

This opportunistic, attention seeking parasite is now bragging about doing interviews with Nightline, CNN and the BBC.

The same Jonathan Hadden that is RETIRED but said her late starts would make him late for work the following morning...

Yes, exactly. I don't see how they can get around it, tbh.

i think that they will probably argue that “subject to change” isn’t proper advertising considering how late she was. 2 hours isnt nothing, and they can use her being late to other shows to this tour as evidence.

What does this even mean? KPOP is notorious for always being on time. :rip:

Why are Madge stans having such a hard time criticizing her for this? She has been doing this for years and years. It is disrespectful and there is no reason for her to start this late all the time. If you do not want to show up on time or you need more time to get ready, change the start date of your shows so people know to come later. Some of these countries literally do not have public transport past a certain time of night which effectively strands people with no way to get home. How can you not think that is a problem?

Madonna has never had respect for her fans in any capacity. She loathes hydrangeas as well!

Well all of those fans should buy new cars and parking spots in advance of the show then. Or walk. She's the Queen, she's worth it :fish2:

That’s… exactly the point, lol. Thousands of customers planned their lives around the schedule that was sold to them.

Do you know there is an opening act who starts by that time? So whats the deal? still don`t understand?

Which never said madonna would start at 830. Its clearly stated that The schedule is subject to change.

The door opens at 730. There's a supporting act. It's a common knowledge  that it would never start at 830.

Next.

:allears:

Its hard to some people here understand that....

Honestly. Imagine jumping at the throat of anyone who dare acknowledge the fact that being systematically 2 hours+ late is objectively very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. It's giving unsound mind and unhealthy parasocial relationship :deadbanana4:

People have jobs, a lot of concertgoers rely on public transportation to go back home. I hope they win and it serves as precedent for all artists. :clap3:

Yeah, it's bizarre reading people defend Madonna saying "well if you didn't know she'd be late then you're not a fan!" LMAO - what?!

This isn't acceptable behavior, and I'm glad to see fans calling her out on it and trying to hold her responsible. Consumers deserve transparency as it may have stopped them from purchasing ticket to begin with. I certainly am not going to a show that starts close to 11 pm on a work note. Sorry not sorry.
