Melissa propelled herself to a bigger actress status with everything that's happened, so she wouldn't return to a Scream movie anyway. let alone Jenna Ortega

exactly, the nerve  I'm so done with people's virtue signalling online nowadays when most are huge hypocrites. Neve's been in this franchise since the beginning it's practically hers before they tried to do some gen z mess with it. you are entitled to nothing. if she does return I hope she gets a huuuge paycheck as she always deserved. the amount of unnecessary (or straight up vile) comments I read about her (probably coming from those same "fans") when she announced she wouldn't return to Scream 6 because Spyglass wasn't **** still annoy me

Neve obviously asked for too much money and producers figured the new cast can carry the movie - which they were right about. There is no reason why having Sidney in every movie should be mandatory.

Why are people acting like the Scream franchise has to focus on Sidney until the end of time. She’s had five movies, and four of them were lead roles. Only Jamie Lee Curtis has had more opportunities as a final girl.
