It isn’t necessarily a bad thing if Perrie does come out with a ballad first. If it is unique enough to stand out or is a mid temp ballad it could hit well.
 

I was hoping for the song “Fliratious” which was apparently registered. Doubt that would be a ballad though if it is real.

Something like Kenya Grace’s Strangers and then a SZA vibe. And avoid any handbag house or nu-disco like Ariana or Dua unless the melody’s solid.
