I wonder if she brought any Positions demos to Max or if she pulled in Shintaro (and Tommy) for new work. Let me hope Xavi is sprinkled in somewhere. Shintaro is apart of Tommy’s production team. So anything he is apart of, Tommy is credited much like Max Martin and his production team. There is the possibility that Tommy’s team and Max’s team co-produced on all of tracks together. They both did “Is There Someone Else” together in the past. 3

kindararenext Posted January 17 Posted January 17 the way today is jim carrey’s birthday… she’s such a fangirl 2
YellowRibbon Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Arianators on Twitter were loud for months about how many variants Midnights got and how those variants made it the pure seller that it is. It'll be interesting to see if their theory is correct now that their fave is doing the same thing. OT: The 3rd cover is about to serve I fear. 4 2
wantedyoutogrow Posted January 17 Posted January 17 genuinely hoping and praying she reworks this and puts it on the album 2
Tm4074 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 We shouldn't write off Tommy Brown because of Positions (even though I have my criticisms of his production on that album). His producing team is behind all her solo #1s so when he's on his game he's on. The pop fans on here were itching for a Max Martin dance-pop banger but as we can see with "yes, and?" the American audience isn't here for it. Positions was performing better on streaming in the U.S. than "yes, and?" during its debut week. The GP prefer r&b/pop Ariana regardless of what this niche pop forum wants from her lol. We wanna hear Ariana sing, that's what she is known for and "yes, and?" is missing that component (even though I like the song despite house being a hit or miss genre for me). 2 6
HappierJealousy Posted January 17 Posted January 17 With 5 variants, anything below 400k will be a major flop 1
regulovalentin Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Am I the only one who thinks it's called Eternal Sunshine because her boyfriend is Ethan Slater?? 2

Flower Posted January 17 Posted January 17 All better than the original album cover. The original was bad on purpose I fear
Material Girl Posted January 17 Posted January 17 how many times do artists have to do this before yall catch up with the present variants and other merch is the only way to get fans to buy music 8

raven Posted January 17 Posted January 17 the name has really grown on me and those covers are stunning have a feeling this album will be in her holy trinity
