That leg wasn't even sold out to begin with and she's coming up with nonsense. That stage probably had several issues due to poor planning and to save money they'll keep the one they had designed for the Latam leg.

But ATRL told me Shakira is not relevant in the US

Posted

Why on earth did she and her team book arenas in the first place?! And they sold out fairly quick at outrageous prices, that should've been their first clue. This was announced back in Coachella (so back in May?).

Like I am happy she is doing stadiums and establishing herself as a touring force but it is so unprofessional to do so TWO WEEKS before the shows. Like I did not have tickets for the US so I am unnafected by this, but I feel like it will a leave bad impression on the people who had bought tickets for the US and it will generate bad press for her that she will now may struggle to sell out those stadium dates.

LIke they could've booked baseball stadiums from the get go if they were not confident on bigger stadiums.

I hope they lean in in the fact the the Latin America leg sold out and is already record breaking...

In other selfish pov... I may see her twice next year :duca:

I'm not even trying to be shady, but were any of the US shows actually fully sold out? A move stadiums would have made sense had they sold out right after they went on sale initially.

Shakira, we've been telling you you are a stadium act in the US and Canada.

This is not it. Not cancelling the dates two weeks before the first show. You should carry on with those arena dates.

the arenas weren't even sold out IJBOL

Palm Desert, Inglewood, San Antonio, and both Miami shows were sold out.

Two weeks before the shows? So motherfucking disrespectful to the fans. I hope she FLOPS :rip:

It's not like the arena leg was fully sold out in the first place. Good luck booking that stadium you speak of

This is so messy, she didn't have to cancel the whole USA tour :rip: she just needed to add new stadium dates in the big cities and call it a day but I guess she wasn't ready to tour yet

The US leg was announced to be an "intimate" opportunity to see her live and after that just stadiums, this make no sense after saying that :cm:

they should've announce the us stadiums legs after the first leg end :coffee2:

The concert boom :gaycat6: Shakira is obviously an icon and legend so it's part of the reason but most acts are now suddenly having "the biggest tour of their careers". Congrats to Shakira tho.

She was selling $1700 tickets, and it was 98.7% sold out. Try again.

Huge mess to cancel 2 weeks in advance considering what happened with El Dorado :deadbanana2:

But you go girl, this is similar to what The Weeknd did

Must be fascinating to live in that fantasy world of yours that she has "no demand" and shows were "not selling" :bibliahh:

Wtf honestly.

This is such a low blow for all the fans who were traveling to the US and had already paid for the flights and lodging specifically to go and see her.

I'm still going to see her in Mexico but this is one of the things that make me cringe a little to be such a hardcore fan tbh :rip:.

Dallas, Chicago, Palm Springs (2 shows), San Antonio, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami (2 shows) were all sold out with very expensive price

My flight to Cali is nonrefundable :biblio: this is SOOOOO ******* shitty to do 2 weeks before tour starts

I can't believe her and her team realized this so late. But happy for the fans (myself included) I've never been to a stadium show before.

That's a lie from her team. They marketed these arena shows as "intimate", a stadium leg was always planned.
