Hmmm, pretty sure most of the value of this ticket is likely going directly to profit the artist and the production. Past a certain threshold, it's just to make profits not necessarily to pay for the production. 15,000 seats to fill with a minimum asking price of 100$. In 2011, her least expensive tickets were 25$ and the most expensive perhaps 300$ including pictures with her. Even considering inflation costs and the increase price of touring cannot excuse that amount.

I will never pay more than 500$ to see an artist and at 500$ I expect to be literally in your face. Like people sell their bodies for 3K!?! That's just too much to ask for an hour and a half/ two hours show (at least for me).

Also, as others pointed out, Shakira is pretty inconsistent in her claims. One minute her shows are supposed to be super productions and then she shows up in leggings and sing her entire set in them. Tour of the Earthly Delights was supposed to be a huge production until Sale El Sol Tour came to life.

I kind of agree that the announcement felt very anti climatic. First she doesn't announce on album release week. Then she does Coachella surprise appearance and announcement but with no dates. Then she announces the dates and they are just 14?

Very messy rollout.

I love her and I have never seen her live so I swore I would not miss this tour, however none of those dates accommodate to my schedule and while I prefer arenas to stadiums, those prices are a bit too much mamma. I guess I will wait for more dates...

Shakira doesn't sell out concerts right away, specially in the US, if price is an issue just wait until a couple of days before your date and you'll get decent seats for cheap  :gaycat3:

Those VIP prices are absurd :deadbanana2:

TBH the shows are doing quite well with a few shows (almost) sold out in the first pre-sales (LA, Miami, Palm Springs, Chicago, Toronto)

The other shows are selling fast too. This should give her the confidence to announce the stadium leg in US and Canada

Does she sing live on tour? I'd be interested in going but the last few performances I've seen of hers have been... not great :skull:

Her last tour was full live, I don't know why she's been so consistent the last few years in being a lip sync darling :rip:

She almost always lip syncs at promo slots, just not in tour.
