Hector Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) FINALLY I still maintain that she was robbed last year. Edited January 10 by Hector 5
Johnny Jacobs Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Just now, Hector said: I still maintain that she was robbed last year. She was robbed many times in the past but last year, she wasn't. Her performance in BP2 was great but not oscar worthy. OT: Queen she needs another one tbh. 4 1
Infernal Paradise Posted January 10 Posted January 10 The Academy finally did the thing! A competitive Oscar for this legend next 1 1
GreatestLoveofAll Posted January 10 Posted January 10 ehh i would have waited. she seems to be capable of another oscar worthy performance. but glad to see she's getting her flowers as one should. 3
QueenBLadyG Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Jamie Lee didn't deserve that Oscar at all. Disgusting choice, especially with Stephanie in the same category. Happy she got the honorary one but, she should have TWO Oscars by now: Leading Actress & Supporting. 5 2 1
ctlp27 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 More than deserved. The beginning with Regina was moving. I'm not sure if it was her first public event since her tragedy but we missed her. She really is as Angela-Did-The-Thing said a bright bright light. Her daughter being so moved 1 1
imabadkid Posted January 10 Posted January 10 She’s been robbed so many times. Glad she’s getting the recognition she long deserved 2
UnusualBoy Posted January 10 Posted January 10 The class and elegance she displays in everything she does. She so deserves this, what a legend! 2
Truth Teller Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Gorgeous, talented, regal queen Who won over her when she played Tina? That performance was A+++ 1
Bey'Knight Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Not complaining cus i love my Wakandan Queen, but if she’s qualified to have one, why don’t they give Glenn Close one as well?

Girl, it just showing that you hate this woman. She was pretty great in "Everything Everywhere All at Once", she did drama, comedy and on top of that a really psychedelic acting, not everyone is capable to mix that kind of cocktail
Young Volcanoes Posted January 10 Posted January 10 can they give one of these to bradley cooper so he can stop releasing awful oscar bait
Soda Pop Queen Posted January 11 Posted January 11 A consolation prize... they love doing this with our icons and legends. *sigh* anyway, Auntie looks gorgeous and this was a beautiful speech. Would've been more moving had she actually been allowed to win against her peers at a normal Academy ceremony. 3

kandicha Posted January 11 Posted January 11 it's still not too late for someone to write her the perfect role to win a competitive oscar! 1
