She's an icon, she's a legend :jonny5:

Spoiler

Don't wanna be quick judging but before entering the thread I thought 'she's an actress, not a singer' and the video in OP turned out for her to not even sing a word in there :gaycat6:

She sings live (with help of backing vocalists + audience a lot of the times, surely) for a big portion of the show. While also serving costumes, lights, and choreo.

It's a very nice show tbh, i'd love to attend. It even has a section called "Song Delivery" where she sings acoustic versions at request of songs that are not on the official setlist:

I remember her songs being very catchy and being stuck in my head all the time. I had no idea she had a legitimate career or if she can actually sing. I should check out her spotify page.

She doesn't really have a legitimate music career. She's always been an extremely successful actress that eventually played roles that required singing and performing, but it was never her focus and she never intended to pursue music. Lately she's been off from working on TV and has been using the free time to establish herself as a Youtuber which made her relevant with a whole new generation while also bringing back her fans from yesteryear. All this led to this tour happening.

She released a few new songs lately but she's made it clear she still has no intention of pursuing a full time singing career, she just writes and records when inspired so whoever wants to listen can do it (she plays some of those songs in the show). But this tour is for the most part a celebration of her iconic roles (Floricienta and Nini)

How was she able to capture a new generation by becoming a youtuber? Does ageism not exist in Argentina?  Does she have a very infectious personality?

Besides the fact that Floricienta is always re-airing on TV, with the pandemic, a whole new generation extremely distant from its original audience fell in love with the show thanks to internet. And during that same timeframe she started her Youtube channel, where she, among other things, did reactions to Floricienta, Nini, Q&As with her co-stars, which brought it a lot of initial exposure. But yeah her personality is super infectious. It brings you joy in the same way her character did, she just exudes positivity.

Regarding ageism, it really helps that she only looks like 5 years older than she did in 2005
