ariananext Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 Yes, she was always skinny, as she said: gained weight when she started drinking alcohol a lot due to her mental health issues in 2019, then got back to her old body after quarantine. She's a 30 years old millionaire surrounded by a great family and friends, I'm sure she doesn't need random people fantasizing about non existent disorders. Can we move on and talk about the song/video instead of her body? 1
ariananext Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 The video is exactly what I expected, I like it, better than most of her old ones tbh.
State of Grace. Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) I listened to the song only once when it dropped and it kept repeating in my head throughout the entire day. I'm having a spamming session right now, I think my only complaint so far is that her whistles in the beginning needed to shine a bit more. I really love the "long" intro though. And the way she opens with "In case you haven’t noticed, well, everyone’s tired" is basically giving "Look around, everywhere you turn is heartache". Oh mother Edited January 12, 2024 by State of Grace. 2
aeult Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 the mv ate very houdini but i loved the houdini mv too 4 minutes ago, Nashe said: though everything about it screams that it'll end up Houdini'd. hopefully she brings the smasha for the 2nd single not “houdini’d” atleast this song will go #1 for a week
Khal Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I love when the choreo is clearly done with the artist in mind, taking into account their limitations. It was very sleek and minimalist, probably my fave video from her after NTLTC
Dante Silva Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Some people are simply not meant to be blonde (but they are meant to have eyebrows). 2

Gerardo Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I loved the camerawork in the mv, I liked the concept of her being like a statue for her to be criticized, and the choreography ateee, the Wicked training paid off I see 1
MusicIsMyMaster Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Loving this, prodcution is amazing and the Vogue interpolation is great My issue is its not catchy. but imma listen anyways
ImpressMeMuch Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Not “renaissance for white people” lmao
Dear Reader Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 i didn’t notice this!! there’s also that iconic sweetener pic on the stairs represented. maybe there’s an easter egg for a different ES cover? 2
ariananext Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 First is TUN (album cover pose), middle is AG7, stairs is sweetener and the one in front of it is My Everything (album cover pose), I can't figure out the others though 1
If U Seek Amy Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 She looks great and serving choreography! I liked the video
burninredhot Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I think the hands over her eyes pose will be one of the alternate covers
Strawberry Bubble Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 The video is soo coool. Finally, someone is putting the visuals we need.

I feel like people wouldn't be talking about it as much if it weren't for the poor styling choices making the change seem more radical. The pale skin, barely-there bleached eyebrows and visibly thinner blonde hair are probably all part of her journey to embrace a more natural look without the tan and lots of extensions. But it does exaggerate the sickly look She was thin her entire career but people still imagine her looking the way she looked during the Positions era. Edited January 12, 2024 by Illuminati
