Antisocialites Posted February 16 Posted February 16 time to ban the word overrated as a form of criticism because it's just meaningless at this point. 3

X~MoviePoP Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The amount of times i got annoyed when mikey kept saying motherfker in anora... Literally a mid film. I cant believe this is winning all the awards. What a damn mess.

kimberly Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Mikey Madison does a fine job with the character (and her accent is passable). My main issue with her character is the writing, she's not well-developed as a character, we barely know anything about her besides her job. She's written from the perspective of a man/client experiencing her, instead of her own person. Which in turn makes Mikey's performance less impressive, because it lacks depth. And yes, I do realize we get some emotional depth to her character by the end, but it's still centered around men. 1

Jude Posted February 16 Posted February 16 They better give that abomination of a film zero award tonight.

Donquizote Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Looks like they love Wallace a lot. Justice for Chicken Run
Kylizzle Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Mikey shows range throughout the whole film. I think her acting in the second act has been pretty underrated but her best moments are on the airplane hanger and everything after that. The ending is the best moment of any of the Actress nominees' performances for me. It's funny how so much of the criticism is about her swearing. You'd never see that for a male performance. 1 3
