hausofdave Posted January 15 Posted January 15 If this race didn't have so many fringe contenders Showgirl would very easily be the Nyad / Albert Nobbs of the year. fascinated to see how this turns out.

fridayteenage Posted January 15 Posted January 15 if the DGA 5/Bafta film 5 is the top 5, Emilia Perez will certainly stand out as an outlier for various reasons. in such a way to get best picture? perhaps.
corotinho Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Best Supporting Actress Category: Golden Globes - Critics Choice - SAG - BAFTA Zoe Saldaña: GG, CC, SAG, BAFTA Ariana Grande: GG, CC, SAG, BAFTA Felicity Jones: GG, BAFTA Selena Gomez: GG, BAFTA Margaret Qualley: GG, CC Isabella Rossellini: GG, CC, BAFTA Danielle Deadwyler: CC, SAG Aunjanue Ellis-Taylo: CC Monica Barbaro: SAG Jamie Lee Curtis: SAG, BAFTA Zoe and Ariana are pretty locked in for the Oscars. Isabella only didn't made the SAGs, so she's probably getting it too. The next two noms are between Felicity, Selena, Margaret, Danielle and Jamie. Felicity and Selena have the strongests movies. Selena made SAGs and CCs on the ensemble category, too. 1

I really think the strongest chance for Selena is exactly this. She's not being completely snubbed in any award. If she's not on the main category, she's getting the ensemble category, so critics are there. Let's hope 1

Let's hope critics choice credits her for mi camino! she should win it. it's objectively a better song than 'el mal' but if it's a emilia perez win i'm already happy. 1
mxoonlight Posted January 15 Posted January 15 jlc becoming an awards darling at her most unlikable and delusional is also crazy. She's twerking for them 8
hausofdave Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Take the SAG 5 and swap out either deadwyler or barbaro for Rossellini and you have your Oscar 5 imo.

hausofdave Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) The only Trifecta winners to have been snubbed by Oscars, if I'm not mistaken, have been Bill Murray, Sally Hawkins, & Ethan Hawke All of whom were BAFTA snubees. So, a MJB snub would be a first Edited January 15 by hausofdave
