Emilia Perez as a movie is probably getting a last minute force for the Oscars after the shortlists, online haters everywhere are about to lose it :coffee:

i see that Karla got a boost, she was #3 on Goldderby for quite some time, got back at #2 some days ago but now she's 100% solified as the #2 locked actress, after Mikey.

Selena is #6 +1 on Goldderby combined predictions for Oscar Supporting Actress -- as she now has 50% of the editors predictions (she had 30% some days/weeks ago).

A solo nom for SAG is not happening tho, A SUBSTANCE is deservedly strong on SAG so Margaret will get that #5 place from Selener.

Anyway, Emilia Perez will pull thru all this hate :WAP: i want them to win something so badly. may it be international movie, supporting actress for zoe, or even Mi Camino/ El Mal..

I really want to live in a world where MJB can push through and become the first black woman to win at BAFTA. That conversation really needs to be had...

This year will spark a lot of conversation about black women at the Oscars as well. For instance, Cynthia could become the second black woman to be a double Best Actress nominee (not supporting), joining only Viola.

It'll be a kii (but not too crazy) if Ariana misses.

it would help Marianne if the other parts of her film got attention. even London critics ignored it in pic/director/screenplay.

the only times Oscars nominated Leigh's actors were the 2x he got a directing nom.

Someone really has it out for Mikey. :khalyan2:

I guess this is to appeal to the same people who were melting down over Emma Stone's "exploitation" and "victimization" in poor things because of the sexual content

And in more news about the idiots commanding the Indian Oscar committee, using these kind of pathetic excuses when their bad decisions blow in their faces ("RRR isn't an Oscar film" they said)

At this point I won't be shocked if she does, but I believe they should judge her based on her work and not personal drama. Hopefully she still manages that nom, but whatever I guess.
