How is it looking for Ariana and Zoe? I think they're most likely the top choices to get the Oscar nom and likely win.

I believe Best Actor is between Brody and Domingo at this point. I thought that Ralph Fiennes might be Brody's biggest competition, but Domingo is truly having a moment right now. I wouldn't be surprised if actually wins (wouldn't be great to have an openly gay black man win it for the first time :jonny:

For Best Actress… My only wish is for Angelina and Demi to be nominated. I know they do not have a chance of winning but it would be great to see them nominated. I actually want Marianne Jean-Baptiste to win and have her moment. She's a great talent.

The Best Supporting Actor race is boring because Culkin is going to win even though his character is more than just a supporting role (basically main character but ok)

Best Supporting Actress could go either way, tbh. However, I wouldn't mind seeing Saldaña win, she's been in this industry for a long time and deserves her followers. I do hope Margaret gets nominated tho.

Twisters not getting in Sound is surprising To a lesser extent, Furiosa not getting into Visual Effects (which was its strongest shot at getting any nomination) is a pretty big surprise too. RIP it having any chances at any noms now.

India's official entry Laapataa Ladies, picked over All We Imagine As Light, doesn't make it to the Oscars' shortlist for Best International Feature Film. Even The Taste of Things (which France submitted last year instead of the Palme d'Or winner & BP nominee Anatomy of a Fall) got shortlisted.
