X~MoviePoP Posted Monday at 06:58 PM Posted Monday at 06:58 PM Happy for pamela getting that globe nom
EnigmaticAndroid Posted Monday at 07:15 PM Posted Monday at 07:15 PM Did pretty well in my Globe predictions bar Drama Picture Very big day for The Substance and Emilia Perez, Wicked didn't do quite as well as people thought it could, and I think it's confirmed that Dune P2 won't be a priority this season (alongside it missing NBR). Nickel Boys is up in the air. 1 1
EnigmaticAndroid Posted Monday at 07:17 PM Posted Monday at 07:17 PM Also, we're really gonna have to bear with September 5 payola for the rest of the season aren't we 1

hausofdave Posted Monday at 09:02 PM Posted Monday at 09:02 PM the last time a film got BP, BD, & Screenplay GG noms that missed Picture was Ides of March, bodes well for The Substance
Blue Monday Posted Monday at 09:11 PM Posted Monday at 09:11 PM (edited) This was a much needed win for The Substance; the big tell will be if Margaret and Demi can get in at SAG. I still feel like its best bet is in Screenplay and (to a lesser extent) Actress, but if it manages to get a nom for Margaret that suggests it's very popular and could be a spoiler in Picture and Director. I think Demi is gonna win that Globe, and if she does... that speech is definitely gonna add a lot of fuel to the campaign. Edited Monday at 09:11 PM by Blue Monday 2
hausofdave Posted Monday at 09:14 PM Posted Monday at 09:14 PM It's safe to assume that Baker, Corbet and Audiard are locks and that leaves 2 open spots for Ross, Fargeat, Berger and Villeneuve. Chu is not happening.
choerry Posted Monday at 09:17 PM Posted Monday at 09:17 PM I was scared Emilia Perez might lose steam at some point, but it's still going strong.

hausofdave Posted Monday at 09:37 PM Posted Monday at 09:37 PM Since the expansion of BP, the only films to get a Globe Drama nom and miss Best Picture: 2011: The Ides of March 2013: Rush 2014: Foxcatcher 2015: Carol 2018: If Beale Street Could Talk 72/77 over a 15 year period

Globes came through with it but the real tell will be SAG and BAFTA and the rest of the Industry; The Hollywood Foreign Press is veeeeerrrry friendly to Netflix campaigns.
Augmented Posted Monday at 10:22 PM Posted Monday at 10:22 PM Gutted Cynthia missed out for Golden Globes, she really does give a stunning performance in Wicked but I fear it's going to get overlooked
