Cloröx Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago The Substance deserves nominations across the board especially for best actress (Demi), best supporting actress (Margaret) and best makeup and hairstyling. I'm going hard campaigning for this masterpiece, come one academy time to break that cliche winning type of movie 1
ctlp27 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago It's def a weak weak season. Blitz was a letdown. Not bad, just completely forgettable (beautifully shot though). Anora was very good. But wtf were they thinking with a Palme d'Or. The movie is only elevated by Mikey, otherwise, I found it to be the weakest Sean Baker's movie in a while. I'm scared for Emilia Perez. After the good US reviews (and not so great French ones), it looks like Twitter is making fun of it today. Not surprise Wicked is getting some vibes, if it's at least enjoyable and good, I could understand how it could sneak in some acting categories. Honestly, why not even have a real conversation about Naomi Scott??

But all of them were universally acclaimed on MC, unlike this horror movie
