fridayteenage Posted September 8 Posted September 8 lol obviously it's not gonna stay there but rn nightbitch has a 30% on imdb
EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Nightbinch getting polarized reactions rather than outright bad. Adams could still contend for the nom but may be out for the win.
fridayteenage Posted September 8 Posted September 8 it took a 90 Metascore and coattailing Bale and Lawrence for her to muster up one lead nom; it's not happening
EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) Doesn't seem like these were posted yet Both look excellent imo Edited September 8 by EnigmaticAndroid
WildAmerican Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Was at the Emilia Perez premiere here at TIFF last night! Very bold unique film that is more style over substance. Storyline is kinda nonexistent. Guess the flare is what's pushing this to be a contender, but it was a little jarring to me.

McNulty Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Less than 30 minutes and TIFF People's Choice Award will be announced
McNulty Posted September 15 Posted September 15 The TIFF People's Choice Award: THE LIFE OF CHUCK 1st Runner-Up: Emilia Perez 2nd Runner-Up: Anora 1
fridayteenage Posted September 15 Posted September 15 BP or BD since 08, placed top 3: 08 Slumdog 10 King's Speech 12 Argo 13 Twelve Years a Slave 15 Spotlight 16 La La Land 18 Green Book + Roma 19 Parasite 20 Nomadland 21 Power of the Dog The last 3 years, BP was a movie that was in theaters before the fall, but nothing this year stands out like that. I'm currently guessing Anora for BP/BD/Actress/Screenplay.
Kylizzle Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I trusted TIFF last year with american fiction and it was so bad. Worst adapted winner in a minute tbh. Hoping Anora happens in BP
Hector Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I don't see both getting in. Tilda's performance from what I've heard has a stronger chance.

Poor Things and Zone deserved
EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Atp, I'm just gonna put Life of Chuck as my frontrunner in Adapted. Sing Sing ain't winning unless it wins BP and Berger didn't write Conclave (and #that ending will likely be controversial). TLOC has everything a Screenplay winner needs (big concept, mixes genres, flashy dialogue in the form of monologues, deals with weighty themes, written by an auteur). 1
