EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 7 Posted September 7 (edited) Word on the street is that The Brutalist and The Room Next Door are likely the Top 2 films (to lipsync for the crown ), Kidman Volpi winner, and Vincent Lindon won the Volpi over Craig. I'm Still Here won something. Edited September 7 by EnigmaticAndroid 1
Mordecai Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I'm gonna need JLo to get her flowers this year and finally snag that Oscar nomination. She deserves it so much and it would redeem what has been a horrible year for her 5

Donquizote Posted September 7 Posted September 7 The Brutalist just won FIPRESCI Wonder if Babygirl won Golden Lion, so Volpi must go to someone else apart from Nicole
Donquizote Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Weird thing has happened at Oscars Best Actress. Ana de Armas got nominated for that PANNED Marilyn's movie. I won't discount Gaga yet.
Donquizote Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Lindon joined Phoenix as actors who won Best Actor at Venice and Cannes
Donquizote Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Nicole is locked for nomination methinks. Veteran actress in a critically acclaimed movie 2

Donquizote Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Golden Lion went to The Room Next Door Moore or Swinton will get nominated methinks.
Donquizote Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Venice this year is very underwhelming Hoping TIFF doesn't disappoint.
EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 7 Posted September 7 (edited) Feeling good about my prediction of Babygirl becoming some sort of surprise contender. A24 should go all in on campaigns for Actress, Supporting Actor, and Screenplay. In a field this weird, Kidman could win her 2nd if they manage to get her the nom. The competition for Globe Drama Actress is pretty dead and she'd be a potential BAFTA pick. Edited September 7 by EnigmaticAndroid 1
fridayteenage Posted September 7 Posted September 7 i'm not seeing Kidman as a winner at all. she looks relatively good for a nom. her rabbit hole redux. should at least go further than previous volpi winner Priscilla. 1
EnigmaticAndroid Posted September 7 Posted September 7 The way I took The Room Next Door OUT- of my predictions only for it to win the Golden Lion. Lemme log into Goldderby real quick. 1
fridayteenage Posted September 7 Posted September 7 For women who won on their only nom during the Sag Awards era, Ensemble noms outside of that winning film: Randolph, Curtis, Debose, Youn, Vikander, Arquette, Mo'Nique, Hudson, Connelly, Basinger, Sorvino, Larson, Paltrow, Berry 0 King, Nyong'o, Zeta-Jones, Yeoh 1 Swinton 3 Janney 5 Swinton is a compelling choice.
Hector Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Aww Nicole She has had multiple moments where she has career highs at the same time as she has horrible events happen in her life.
