Wow the raves for The Brutalist :soda:

The BP frontrunner so far. It's exactly the type of movie the academy loves.

Ten mins longer than killers of the flower moon? Gosh.

It does sound baity. A sag nom for the Grammy winner? :ducky:

winners at 200+ mins: gone with the wind, #1 all-time adjusted

Lawrence of arabia, #1 for 1962

ben-hur, #2 for the 1950s

godfather ii, sequel to best picture winner

return of the king, #1 for 2003

I don't think that many people will sit through it.

She will one day...for a collab or dance recording

The Brutalist is 3h 35m long? BP cancelled. My cinema viewing also likely cancelled, I'd rather watch it at home in 2 parts. Bring back intermissions for fucks sake

:suburban:

Conclave also looks good. :clap3:

Oh the audiobook of her autobiography "Me on Planet Unbothered: They were to hear me Roar - A Woman's World (disclaimer: Satire!)"

Me to Killers of the Flower Moon last awards season. The movie was great, de Niro was such a c*nt in that film but my god did it dragged on though and I honestly would have dozed off if I watched it in the theaters in one go. :gaycat7:

The Brutalist has intermission apparently. The screenings at Venice have them, so I believe it is encouraged and supported by the production.

The Brutalist reactions are so promising. Brody, Pearce and Jones quickly joined the race!

The length of the standing ovations are getting nuts but I hope this means this movie gets tons of love this upcoming awards season :duca:

this season getting already annoying with Selena Gomez stans trying hard to make her happen in Supporting. look, she could very well happen but as of right now I find it hard to believe, especially when is Karla and Zoe the ones getting all the acclaim.

I know damn well you're not defending a 3h:30m+ runtime, we're not talking about 2 hours here. Just do a mini series at that point.

the Monsters are already trying it with St. Joliegend.

imagine the backtracking if its panned or Gaga goes Supporting Actress instead

:suburban:

anyway we support both Angelina Jolie and Stefani Joanne Angelina. the real enemy is Mikey Madison i'm afraid

Selena Gomez getting an Oscar nomination before JLo iktr.

I don't know about Selena getting a nomination. I thought it would be easy with OMIB, but she really had to campaign hard to finally get one after 3 seasons, so I don't know how the pool for the other Academy would feel differently about her (considering her role is not huge in this one).

Curious to finally read reviews of Queer. I love Luca and his cinema so I hope it's not a misfire.
