hausofdave Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Usually the Oscars don't split between SAG and BAFTA and go with one or the other. 2009 - Bridges/Bullock for SAG. Firth/Mulligan for BAFTA. Bridges/Bullock for Oscars. 2020 - Boseman/Davis for SAG. Hopkins/McDormand BAFTA. Hopkins/McDormand for Oscars. 2022 - Fraser/Yeoh for SAG. Butler/Blanchett for BAFTA. Fraser/Yeoh for Oscar. So using that logic, it makes most sense to go Chalamet/Moore or Brody/Madison.
Poxy Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Brody BETTER win that Oscar omg this must be what it felt like for the haters to have seen GORnora sweep so much these last couple days…
fridayteenage Posted February 24 Posted February 24 It is kinda funny that bergers film would appear to be top three again and his directing was snubbed again
ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted February 24 ATRL Moderator Posted February 24 Actress and director are the biggest questions to me. I still think Anora is pulling this out and I’m not really worried for Brody.

WildAmerican Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I think it's Brody and Moore for the Oscar. Timmy was always gonna do well at SAG and SAG didn't really like The Brutalist overall. 2
hausofdave Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Anora - WGA**, PGA, DGA Conclave - BAFTA, SAG **Conclave wasn't eligible (it would have beaten Anora there) It's basically BAFTA + SAG vs PGA + DGA
Elusive Chanteuse Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Timotees speech was a little odd to me. But congrats to him
Kylizzle Posted February 24 Posted February 24 This awards season has been such a ride. Who would've thought The Brutalist would be #3 by the time the Oscars roll around
WildAmerican Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I liked how Timmy talked about wanting to be great, don't we all want that in our lives? 3 1
Cheers Posted February 24 Posted February 24 King Chalamet needs to leave Kylie home for the Oscars. I fear she was a bad luck charm!
Konril Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Well this was an exhausting run of a season. The influx of Ariana and Selena stans, the smear campaigns, Karla existing, no strong locks on some of the ATL categories. I love it. 1
fridayteenage Posted February 24 Posted February 24 The last BP winner whose director went empty handed was chicago. Another strike against berger
Green Posted February 24 Posted February 24 The SAG winners need to repeat at the Oscars like the years of Chastain and Yeoh Smith - Chastain - Kotsur - DeBose - CODA (Cast) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/28th_Screen_Actors_Guild_Awards Fraser - Yeoh - Quan - Curtis - Everything Everywhere All at Once (Cast) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/29th_Screen_Actors_Guild_Awards It would have been 3 consecutive years of SAG getting everything right if it wasn't for Gladstone Murphy - Gladstone - Downey Jr. - Randolph - Oppenheimer (Cast) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/30th_Screen_Actors_Guild_Awards
