Everything Everywhere All at Once
Nomadland
Million Dollar Baby

It Happened One Night

Julie Andrews was the reigning winner for her debut, and Meryl would have had 3 Oscars with under a decade onscreen, so those weren't likely...

Time, the ultimate truth teller :alexz:

"Time" here being only 8 days fffffffff

Anyway, I *need* Anora to win as many Oscars as possible :WAP: Loved Demi in The Substance, but can't help but root for Mikey. (And if I were rich, I'd bribe the voters to give my man Yuriy his Oscar too.)

I think it's ok for Arianators to get delusional and root for their fave.

After all, not everyone can command respect by AMPAS to get nominated for acting Oscar.

Ariana being nominated at the big 5 film awards (especially at the Oscars) for her FIRST lead role is already an achievement for her especially when the majority of the internet people were clowning her when Universal submitted her for an Oscar nom.

For her first what now

I'm still predecting Demi.

Y'all are doing these Coleman vs Close comparisons, when for me it was always a Yeoh vs Blanchett tea. And let's not forget that Cate won the BAFTA that year.

This

It's also a Fraser Vs. Butler tea  (everyone jumped in the Butler train despite of Fraser SAG win and narrative)

Now if Madison wins SAG then I will change my prediction to her

But so far It's not a The Wife situation because The Wife (1 nomination) Vs The Substance (5 nominations including Picture, Director, Screenplay) ain't the same.

Sadly both the nominated actress and the snubbed actress will end the awards season with the same number of awards

Nice to see that online clowing around Emilia Perez didn't affected the movie at all. It's still winning the categories it was expected to win. Probably only lost it's chances on Best Picture

nah stop with it, golden globes are relevant!

and our girl was a double nominee at the same year, not everyone has that

after all, what i'm reading here it's that nominations are THAT relevant!!

so about the 2 "losers" pop girls at that night, 2 nominations/loss at the GG > 1 nomination/loss.

sorry
