Eóghan Posted February 16 Posted February 16 poor Anora haters; Mikey seems locked in now i'd say Demi can still pull an upset because of the good campaign but still this is strong odds for Mikey 2

Banshee is the only movie that went home empty handed after getting at least 4 nominations at SAG. Imo, if Anora gets SAG ensemble, I don't see Mikey losing SAG Best Actress. What was telling to me was Anora snatching Best Casting over Conclave. Edited February 16 by DanyelP23
hausofdave Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Complete Unknown blanking at the three major precursors. next is SAG for Actor. Otherwise, it is blanking
choerry Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Clayton Davis still having Ariana win Supporting Actress is so funny . Awards punditry is so silly. 2
Donquizote Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I still think Wicked will surprise at Supporting/Lead Actress SAG. It's still better prediction than pundits who think Torres can still win Oscar
Donquizote Posted February 16 Posted February 16 It seems like Demi urgently needs to win SAG in order to still be considered as frontrunner. If someone else wins SAG, it's over for Demi.
Donquizote Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Since 2007, SAG winner for BSA always matches Oscar winner. So I won't count Ari out yet.

I think it's smart to predict Ariana. it would be easier to switch to Saldaña right now, but if Ariana takes SAG, everyone will swing the other way. He's basically trying to be ahead of the curve here and have bragging rights if Ari pulls it off. I'm sure his "final prediction" will be Saldaña if she takes SAG also.
LewisK Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I'll be happy for Madison if she wins at the Academy Awards, because she's so sweet and did a great job in Anora. But I'm rooting for Demi, as I think her role was more difficult and it would be really fulfilling to see her winning. 4
Jude Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Ariana being nominated at the big 5 film awards (especially at the Oscars) for her FIRST lead role is already an achievement for her especially when the majority of the internet people were clowning her when Universal submitted her for an Oscar nom. 1
LewisK Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I have a soft spot for Saldaña and want her to take the awards, because she was amazing in her role as well. But Ari deserves too, roles like that seem easier to play, but I can see the huge amout of work she put on the character to the point that every microexpression and every syllable was so organic and on point (so much she even drags part of the character nowadays lol), that has a huge merit.
hausofdave Posted February 16 Posted February 16 every Picture winner from this decade had an acting win alongside it (Parasite - 2019) Nomadland: Actress CODA: Supporting Actor EEAAO: Actress, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress Oppenheimer: Actor, Supporting Actor
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I'm ready for Zoe to mention her trans nephew during acceptance speech at SAG
Green Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I wanted BAFTA to throw a curveball but of course they had to do it in the Best Actress category (where I wanted Demi to win to solidify her frontrunner status) Why couldn't they do it for Actor (Ralph) or Supporting Actress (Ariana) 1
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 It's also worth to note that Demi is a 9x Razzie nominees Don't know whether this will affect her "respect" status when some members vote. 2
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Wicked is not popular among international voters, so I'm hardly surprised when Ari lost.

She's still the frontrunner. If Mikey wins SAG I'd give it a 50/50 chance. If Demi wins (I think she likely will) more likely 70/30. All in all I don't think BAFTAs changed much. If I had to name a "loser" I guess it would be the Brutalist which needed to show a little more strength in here after Anora's guild sweep. I don't see it for Conclave but if it won funnily enough it would be very similar to Spotlight's win, another Catholic-centered film with a large respected ensemble taking it with Screenplay only. TrymeB Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Just came in here to say Angelina Jolie looked sexy as HELL with that red lip and her TaTas showing under that sheer dress. Made me question my homosexuality tbh.
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 ChatGPT on Demi Moore's razzies: Demi Moore has received a total of nine Golden Raspberry Award (Razzie) nominations throughout her career, winning four times. She was nominated six times for Worst Actress, winning twice, and received one nomination and win for Worst Supporting Actress. Additionally, she won for Worst Screen Couple. Her notable wins include Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple for "Striptease" (1996), and Worst Supporting Actress for "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" (2003). IMDB.COM Despite these earlier setbacks, Moore's career has seen a resurgence.
