Hector Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Society Of Composers & Lyricists Award for Outstanding Original Song For A Comedy Or Musical Visual Production - Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Luca Guadagnino - "Compress/Repress" from Challengers Would have made a great Oscar nominee, shame. Oh wow, "El Mal" lost Edited February 13 by Hector 1 1
Hector Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Society Of Composers & Lyricists Award for Outstanding Original Song For A Dramatic Or Documentary Visual Media Production - "The Journey" - Diane Warren from The Six Triple Eight Maybe she does have a chance to win the Oscar? Edited February 13 by Hector
Almodusa Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 Just finished Conclave. That was nice! It was giving Adapted Screenplay type winner for sure. Spoiler BIIIIITCH the twist at the end gagged me omg Everyone was great. With that said, similar to Anora, the Supporting nom confused me. 3

fridayteenage Posted February 13 Posted February 13 It would be cool if Anora was the second film this century to take actress and writing, after eeaao... 1 3
Donquizote Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Ani needs to take BAFTA so badly. After watching ANora second time, I think I will be happy if Ani or Cynthia won BAFTA. Demi's performance doesn't really do much to me. Maybe because I can't relate to her struggle.
Mr. Duff Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Is there a path for A Real Pain to win screenplay? I wanna see Jesse Eisenberg win it. Also if Timothee's chances are gone I'd love to see Ralph win Best Actor. He's brilliant in Conclave. Zoe and Kieran are locked. Demi only needs one of the BAFTA or SAG and she's locked too in my opinion. I predict Demi wins BAFTA while Mikey wins SAG.
Kylizzle Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Demi winning Best Actress is basically just for one scene. Mikey is much more dynamic and deserves.
Donquizote Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Yes, there's still a chance that Mikey takes BAFTA this Sunday. It will be second time BAFTA awards an ingenue Best Actress this century after Carey Mulligan in An Education. Weirdly enough, both movies center on young woman who believe in fairy tale happy ending love.
Selegend Posted February 13 Posted February 13 oh you're kidding me that next year an ensemble category starts at the oscars? it's insane what happens to miss gomez, calm down losing the eligible period at the grammys for 1 week at the first year the afrobeats category started anyway, glad the BAFTA best supp. actress nominee will attend this weekend, i was afraid she wouldn't. Casting Society Artios Award Winners INTERNATIONAL FEATURE (*NEW CATEGORY) EMILIA PÉREZ: Carla Hool. Associate Casting Director: Susan Putnam Was "I'm Still Here" nomimated? with the KSG fiasco i 100% thought they had the International Oscar locked, not EP.

Selegend Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Just now, Almodusa said: It's a casting category, the award would be for the casting director, not the actors Got it. Thanks!
NoAngelus Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I was rooting for Demi since I saw The Substance in September, but with Margaret being shut out of the race despite doing just as much, it doesn't feel right to me to award just Demi. Mikey was in the whole movie and carried the whole thing. I wouldn't mind her taking it.

Donquizote Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Some stans should stick to Nickelodeon/Kids' Choice Award Anyway, I'm ready for Zoe to lose BAFTA this Sunday 1
hausofdave Posted February 13 Posted February 13 with the animated race, I think they give Flow the Animation BAFTA and Wallace & Gromit the new Family BAFTA 1

Demi's character is much more than just that one mirror scene. Mikey's character takes a more dramatic turn while Demi's ends up fully leaning into the campiness. I don't think that automatically makes Mikey more deserving. my favorite Demi moments besides "the scene": Spoiler - at the lunch table with Harvey - crawling through the door - whipping eggs - talking to Sue after injecting half the termination solution ("you're the only lovable part of me" always gets me) and more broadly, - anytime she's in the shower 1 1

I think she's #4 of the nominated performances above KSG but was weaker than MJB and Jolie.
Alyssa Edwards Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Not Hard Truths and Marianne Jean-Baptiste being kinda.... Bad ? I'm now glad she didn't get in. 1

McNulty Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Nickel Boys was such a sad movie, America systematic racism history continues to amaze me. I'm surprised the film missed both Best Director and Cinematography because the first person POV was very unique. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor gave a better supporting performance than most of this year nominees 1
