hausofdave Posted February 9 Posted February 9 PGA hates Netflix more than Kendrick hates Drake, which was before the controversy, safe to say the #10's allotment will be coming in bulk for Perez 3

Here we go

X~MoviePoP Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I hate that anora will win. Give it to wicked or conclave 1
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I'll be honest: Emilia Perez (I know everyone hates it) left me speechless. I was like: damn, what an experience. My favorite movie of 2024. Same with The Substance. I wasn't that impressed with Anora though. A cute 7/10. Conclave was okay but too safe. Then I watched The Brutalist. Dear lord, it made me fall asleep and definitely appreciate Anora more.

DanyelP23 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I need Mikey to win SAG. She needs to be 'carried' to a WIN along the movie itself at the Oscars. BP+BA+BOS/BD 1
Navyofbadgals Posted February 9 Posted February 9 PGA is a massive win. Didn't really think of Anora as the type of movie to win BP but considering a few weeks ago it was looking to be EP.. what a massive UPGRADE dear god 1
Navyofbadgals Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I guess we will see what happens with SAG and BAFTA i guess. BAFTAs in recent years haven't been the best for predicting stuff, both in terms of wins and noms
hausofdave Posted February 9 Posted February 9 PGA and DGA but lost Picture: 1995 - Apollo 13 (Braveheart) 1998 - Saving Private Ryan (Shakespeare in Love) 2005 - Brokeback Mountain (Crash) 2013* - Gravity (12 years a Slave) *PGA was tied b/t the two 2016 - La La Land (beat and then lost to Moonlight) 2019 - 1917 (Parasite) 2015 is also notable for being the only time they picked two different movies and were both wrong. DGA went The Revenant and PGA - The Big Short while the Oscar went to Spotlight 1
Achilles. Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Willing to sacrifice Demi Moore's Oscar if the Brazilians come through to snatch Best Picture along with it.
Kylizzle Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Sean Baker has deserved an Oscar for years and its finally happening. Now how can we get Mikey dragged along for Best Actress... 1 3
