probably still Corbet or even Berger like they did for All Quiet

Even Fargeat doesn't seem that surprising by this point.

first time since 2002 that CCA, GG, and DGA all had three different Director winners. None of them won the Oscar that year.

Here's to those who said it lost all momentum and was a lock to win 0 Oscars because the hfpa said so!

Yes Anora!!!Congrats Sean Baker!

And I don't really take Globes seriously unless Emilia Perez wins at SAG/BAFTA.

If not, old people just received gifts, and it's more heinous case of payola than "The Tourist".

Critics Choice is now "predict Oscar" award.

Back then they had dignity.

They even got a tie at Best Actor and then Adrian Brody won Oscar.

And we got this gem out of it.

God rest Robin Williams's soul :heart2:

Speaking of which, Anora going home empty handed is a kii. I liked the movie but it was a solid 7-7.5 for me. Never understood the awards hype around it. Looks like its Best Picture odds might deflate further

I like the director but Anora's just really overrated, i find it fair that it got nothing.

Anora was mid i fear. The Globes did what they needed to do to stop all momentum it had gained thanks to payola :clap3:

While Flow won Best Independent Feature. We truly do have a race in Animated Feature Film this year!

Wild Robot: Critics Choice,  PGA, Annie

Flow: Golden Globe, Independent Annie

I'll give it to Flow if it wins BAFTA, like how Boy & The Heron won last year.

Yass! Anora now has the upper edge for Best Picture. If The Brutalist wins at BAFTA, it'll regain frontrunner status.

Is Sean Baker winning 4 oscars in one night? :jonny5:

GG+BAFTA is honestly a weak combo. Boyhood, The Revenant and Three Billboards all had the same combo and ultimately lost BP.

Bafta got it wrong 8 of the last 10 years. The exceptions are oppen and nomad, which took PGA and dga...

Its anora season!
