judasmonster Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Ariana winning Critics Choice would definitely push the tide in her favor especially if she gets the chance at a speech that talks about how Wicked relates to some of the injustice going on today 1
Donquizote Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I believe Billie and Finneas are Oscar voters now. Ariana is securing votes from both Billie and Finneas confirmed 1

I don't think it was competitive in the techs ever. 3
Riot Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Isabella Rossellini needs to get in her Jamie Lee Curtis bag. Say in an interview that your mother wished for you to be an Oscar winner in her deathbed or something 6
Green Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Does anyone know when the voting for the critics choice ended?

Maybe my distaste for it increased since I watched it, but yeah the movie was certainly tone deaf with a ridiculous storyline 2 hours ago, Kylizzle said: The only loss I think it might take due to the scandals is International Film, which would drop it down to just Song / Supporting Actress. The movie wasn't affected by the backlash after it won GG, they over performed in nominations for every major award show

Donquizote Posted February 6 Posted February 6 AACTA and CCA in 24 hours Both are very important precursors. I wonder if Ari could win somewhere
R.E.M. Posted February 6 Posted February 6 At this stage of Ariana's acting career an Oscar nomination is a huge achievement in itself, but it would be nice to see her get a televised win for an acting award. I stil think cinching CC and SAG could give her the momentum she needs to take the Oscar 1 1

fridayteenage Posted February 7 Posted February 7 wicked/nosferatu/conclave win costume guild awards. it's been expected for awhile that wicked would win the oscar with nosferatu runner-up 1
LastKiss Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Karla deserved what she got for being and awful person but the fact that she has been shut out of the industry events like this while other MEN have done worse but they stay present and are even awarded is verytelling of how awful hollywood is. Like the first trans woman to be nominated for BA is disposed like garbage but the cis white man can do whatever and they still suck their diiick The critic choice awards are going to be a HOOT when EP wins and wins and wins and everyones is there like 1 2

hausofdave Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Chu & Berger are the only directors of best picture nominees this year going in without Oscar nominations, presumably Salles gets listed as an producer as well. Because of Ross in screenplay and Villenuve in picture.
