homosexual_behaviour Posted January 31 Posted January 31 the ksg tweets are so bad that if it came out earlier she 100% would not have been nominated marianne, nicole and angelina sweeties i'm so sorry you were overlooked this year 5
Luminary Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Who in the Caitlyn Jenner does this Karla gurl think she is.. despicable 1
X~MoviePoP Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Its between fernanda, demi and mikey i think. Cynthia could suprise.

Having not only a precursor nom but a WIN + a speech before Oscar voting begins is in no way comparable to Riseborough. Brazil is very loudly behind her and this film. What could have never been predicted is this rogue Best Pictures entry with nothing to prepare us for it besides an actress nomination. I believe that has never happened before. It's absolutely shocking. Also, winning a Best Actress at the GG and not being nominated for the Oscars "doesn't happen" either. Speaking generally. Obviously she's less of a surprise at the Oscars now than AR, but she really came out of nowhere at the Globes and that's where I drew my comparison. Now the film and her have been covered since her surprise win, but I'm just surprised that she's become a favourite when she was completely absent from the conversation before the Globes nominations. Her victory at the GG made people curious to watch the movie, which is very good and her performance is phenomenal. The timing was right
Almodusa Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 The hitler tweet phew… I can imagine her attending the Oscars and just walking straight through the red carpet to her seat with no interviews
Alyssa Edwards Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Watched Nickel Boys last night. Spoiler This movie clearly has a vision, it's very well made but i wasn't gagged like some other people were. The length of the film was a bit much, it dragged a lot at times but maybe it'll grow on me. I stayed away from getting too much info about the story so i could really get surprised and it was quite sad. What Ariana said at the donut shop. 2
Antisocialites Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) defended so hard her right to denounce transphobia only to get these awful tweets. never siding with a celebrity again, f*ck her nazi ass. again, what a way to taint your historic nomination. she's not going to ever be booked in something again, not even Mexican telenovelas. hope the Emilia Pérez check runs out very soon. Green Posted January 31 Posted January 31 It's safe to say that Emilia Perez not winning Best Picture right? Because it's not only Karla Sofia's old tweets, we also have the current comments made by the director of the film 1

Anora for the win 1
fridayteenage Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Netflix has never had a movie win two major Oscars, without all this extra baggage
Kylizzle Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I don't think the Saldana thing will be that controversial. The GP understands that non-black people doing blackface is problematic, but the nuances of a light skinned black woman doing the same thing is lost on people and will probably not register for old white Academy voters. So it seems EP should go 2/13 (Salanda & Original Song) 1

daniela monquelat Posted January 31 Posted January 31 i wish EP would win best ensamble at CC and SAG but its def not happen thanks to karla the only good thing is that mi camino will have more CC and oscar chances
Hector Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I don't see A Complete Unknown winning Picture or Norton winning Supporting Actor at all (since he gives a fine but nothingy performance).
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Do we really think the Academy voters are following the gossip websites? Even I didn't know about that Carla controversy
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Best Picture - The Brutalist Best Director - Brady Corbet Best Actor - Adrien Brody Best Actress - Demi Moore Best Supporting Actor - Kieran Culkin Best Supporting Actress - Zoe Saldaña Best Original Screenplay - Anora Best Adapted Screenplay - Conclave
