I think there's a path for Gascon to win and make history.

EP will get a lot of nominations at Oscar, but only end up to win one or two.

Zoe and Gascon win will be the consolation prize for this movie.

I think she will... they loved Emilia Perez so much that even Adriana Paz got longlisted

I've been saying Jolie could miss the Oscars. She and the film have been showing basically no signs of passion yet. :lakitu:

Timothée is really having a banner year, with him being the sole lead in two likely Best Picture nominees in the same year.

At the Oscars he'll also have the unique chance at becoming the new youngest Best Actor winner ever (his nomination is guaranteed atp). That would be huge if it happens. :jonny2:

Wonka smashing last Christmas, all his success in 2024 & this awards season and he already has his next awards contender set for Christmas this year with Marty Supreme… he really  is the biggest young movie star around right now. :clap3:

Same, but I fear she will need to take that GG and serve a SAINTlike speech or she might be out. The fact she needs a certain amount of #1's placements to get in, is what's really troublesome tbh

Netflix suxx at acting wins

One to date

Zoe will be second, a long with intl, and maybe song. That's more than enough consolation

Scorsese gets zero after zero and they're fine with that

And probably they will walk away from the season with a huge amount of nominations to brag about (with maybe three wins from a movie). Probably the most ever for a streaming company. EP could also break records with nominations in the Oscar's, at least for a musical. Do you have these stats?

No Nickel Boys or Sing Sing on the BAFTA best film longlist... absolutely tasteless

But great showing for the substance (QUALLEY IN SUPPORTING PLS BRITS DO IT) and thank GOD they aren't going for jolie in maria (great actress, meh film)

I really do not wanna wake up and see gomez in supporting over Qualley, if there is a God, please make this happen for me

EDIT:

also, i get that the piano lesson is not happening, but how in the world is deadwyler being snubbed AGAIN?!?! she washes almost every supporting performance this year

La La Land tied for most noms ever, 14

All quiet has the most Netflix wins with four

Almost forgot that Blitz is beyond dead, it's OUT- all over the place

EP is surely loved by industry, but I don't think it will tie La La Land/Titanic with the most nominations.

La La Land is crowd pleaser and critically acclaimed by critics, something that EP lacks.

11 nominations is the ceiling for EP.

we knew Emilia Perez would overperform here, so that's not surprising to me.

loving The Substance love. hopefully they can score those nominations.
