OnlyManInTheWorld Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Do we want Adrien Brody to have 2 Oscars? He won one and disappeared for like 20 years 1

kimberly Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Babygirl was mostly entertaining, though it felt like it dragged on a little too long despite being under 2 hours. Nicole Kidman's performance was... good? I don't see how she's in the Oscar conversation at all for this.
fridayteenage Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Adrien also was in midnight in Paris and blonde And had a few Emmy nominated performances
LastKiss Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) I honestly think Mikey, Karla Sofia, Demi, Angelina and Cynthia are going to be our nominated 5 Edited December 26, 2024 by LastKiss 2
hausofdave Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 assuming that Villeneuve gets snubbed again. (Audiard, Baker, Berger, Corbet, Fargeat, Ross) would all be first time nominees. the last time that happened was 1998 (Cameron, Cattaneo, Egoyan, Hanson, Sant) 2020 & 2022 were close (4/5 were first-time nominees)
Luminary Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Kidman is such a non-factor by now: 1. the movie is really not it, borderline awful 2. Kidman is good but nothing special 3. Oscars will stay far away from this kind of movie I hope Moore gets in but I won't believe it until nominations are announced
fridayteenage Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 to be fair, Berger is technically an Oscar nominee for his 4x winning film

DanyelP23 Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 I had this dream last night that Isabella Rossellini wins for Conclave and that Mark Eydelshteyn makes it in for Anora in supporting with 0 precursors. 2

NoAngelus Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 So Universal released deleted scenes from Wicked with blue/green screen showing how much of it was actually CGI like I said, not even indoor sets were build, only props. So where's that one person claiming it wasn't? This has to be one of the most payolad movies in recent history. So glad it bombed outside english speaking markets. The rest of the world always knows better. 2 1
K@rm@ Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Watched the Substance a few days ago. Demi was amazing! she deserves a nomination or possible win. 1

Why are you so obsessed with making a fool out of yourself? Pretending global smash Wicked was a bomb isn't going to help those delusions, sweetheart. 9
Vermillion Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 The passionate downvoting and lasting hatred for certain otherwise non-problematic actors and actresses in this thread I find hilarious. 1 1

Likingstars Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Wait i just watched Nightbitch and it's actually enjoyable???? I read the book couple of years ago, and given the source material, Amy Adams did a wonderful job for this role 1
