hausofdave Posted Monday at 01:43 PM Posted Monday at 01:43 PM As for the last slot, so close to putting Stan over Craig. He just won a GG, albeit for a different movie, but he gave a nice speech regardless. He will almost definitely happen at SAG, and I think he will also happen at BAFTA given how The Apprentice did on the longlists.
hausofdave Posted Monday at 03:21 PM Posted Monday at 03:21 PM the last time we had 4/5 first time nominees was 1966. Also ironically the first year had two actresses in foreign language performances: Kaminska and Aimée and also the only lineup without any US actress (3 British, 1 french and 1 Polish). The others were Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave and Liz Taylor Moore Madison Gascon Torres + former nominee/winner slot

She's nowhere near the conversation for the win, anywhere. Which is typical of her, especially in acting but was true for her music as well. The Emmys shut her out for Only Murders for several seasons before letting her get a nomination, despite nominating her co-stars. Her acting performances have been highly divisive so far, and I do not expect that to change anytime soon. She's not going to get the Oscar nomination, and she's unlikely to make it in for SAG. She's already missed Critics' Choice. BAFTA might be her only potential pre-cursor for a nomination — because they're loving the movie. shes locked. wait and see. 2

McNulty Posted Monday at 06:13 PM Posted Monday at 06:13 PM I just caught up with results, I LOVED the Demi and Sebastian wins, two great performance from similar movies. Flow, Challengers, Tadanobu Asano and Colin Farrell wins were great. Fernanda Torres winning and Moore's speech confirmed it's Demi's Oscar to lose. Unfortunately it seems Emilia Perez is stronger with the industry and international voters 1

And on top of that for example the hate that is happening right now, even on websites like Rotten Tomatoes, are brazilians mad that EP won "i'm still here" international picture award without even watching the movie. And i say without seeing with confidence cuz they truly didn't see it, it will be released in Brazil next month. Of course there are a % that watched illegally, a lot of selena stans for example, but i'm sure most commenting about it and engaging on hate trains haven't. 1

I mean the fact that she gives a stellar performance could be another reason as well 1

She broke my heart, stole the show and should've won every award for that performance. Demi is a legend and long overdue
