As much as I prefer loofas, you need to replace them way too frequently. And a washcloth gets washed together with all the towels in the washing machine so how is it for “poor people”. This is so dumb I can’t.

Absolutely not. Using your hands is the equivalent of putting toothpaste in your mouth and just squishing it around without using a toothbrush. I don't feel fully clean when I shower at someone else's place and don't have anything to scrub myself with.

I mean it's not. Your teeth accumulate plaque and have loads of grooves to get between so you need a brush to get all around the mouth. Your skin is mostly a flat surface and you're just lathering shower gel in the same way you would lather shampoo in your hands or soap when you wash your hands in a sink. A loofah is great for exfoliating, but for simply cleansing yourself you don't *need* an implement.

I think the problem here isn't even their attitude towards washcloths, like use whatever gets the job done for you I guess. I like exfoliating gloves personally, as loofahs aren't that exfoliating.

It's the way they talk about poor people and even their less wealthy friends :skull:

In my entire life, I've ever only used washcloths. People in my family have always used washcloths. Friends, from what I know have always used washcloths. It wasn't until I was an adult I realized there are people who actually bathe and shower using only their hands, thinking that's an effective way to clean themselves. :stare: It's no wonder why you have so many people with bad odors who look dirty walking around. You need to scrub to get the grime of the day off of you.

Centuries later and they’re still struggling with the concept of cleaning?

You can use loofas and wash cloths. I usually use the loofa for the body, legs, arms, etc. wash cloth for the face and neck. Then the back scrub, and finally use the wash cloth to get inbetween and finger yourself just a bit to make sure the hole is clean and you are good to go.

I don’t use loofas or washcloths unless it’s summer and I’m covered in sweat and sticky body sunscreen. My skin already is super sensitive as it is when I just use body wash and my hands, plus the cold weather.

Most derms will tell you that a washcloth is not a must for your face. I double cleanse with an oil cleanser at night and then follow that up with a facial cleanser and work it in for a good 2 minutes and that’s enough for me.
