You not realising that this is in fact what happened when Cardi arose is hilarious to me. People who hated Nicki at that time regarded Cardi as Nicki's first potential competitor in her entire career and saw it as an opportunity to get Nicki gone. Then they obviously stuck to it 'cause Cardi was doing good. Now when Cardi's doing terribly bad and definitely not making a worthy comeback, a good bunch of them stealthily retracted their stan cards. It's obvious, and your mentality is what's annoying.

Sorry, but the GP will never stick and listen to someone because they hate other people. This is stan mentality and Cardi had the GP on chokehold for a good three years. Yeah she gained ground with the whole Nicki vs Remy, but people actually liked Cardi's music back then and no Barb revision can erase that. Her skills are mid but the music and production were undeniable. Her run from Bodak all the way to Up was iconic and she gave cool videos, nice performances and charisma in a dry era for female rap.  She was also smart booking her collabs back then: Bruno, Migos, Ozuna, City Girls, Bad Bunny, etc she really took her brand to different audiences and all came together for her. The lack of good music and artistic development is exactly why people are leaving her behind. They came for the bops, not for the drama and stunts. Her own personal/law issues, current floppage and unstable personality is getting to her fast and she refuses to deal with it. Then she stays rehashing old stuff thinking it will guarantee hits. Trashing fans, disregarding he music career and bragging about her money are really NOT IT. She's digging her own grave at this point

Who said anything about the GP? We were talking about what Cardi's fanbase consisted of, and GP =/= fanbase

Cardi B did not get BILLIONS of streams because the world wanted someone against Nicki Minaj. 
 

She didn’t achieve multiple #1s, have a record breaking album, go viral 1000000 times from her personality, etc. Just because people didn’t like Nicki. Get a ******* grip and stop being so chronically online and delusional. 
 

People retracted their Stan cards because of… ding ding ding what YOU SAID. CARDI is doing bad. The recent bad music has reflected in her chart positions. Has absolutely nothing to do with Nicki. You need help with comprehension. I said Bardigang, not the GP. Nobody attributed Cardi’s success to an anti-Nicki Minaj wave. Obviously the desire for another female rapper did contribute to her success somewhat but even the hardcore Nicki stans can admit that in itself would not have been enough to elevate her career to the level it’s been at. She made some bops and the GP loved them - nobody’s denying that. 
 

But from what I’ve seen, a HUGE part of the Bardigang - the STANS, not just the GP or casual fans of her music - actually only support Cardi because she’s the first one to actually parallel Nicki’s commercial success and they finally have commercial stats to throw around to bring down Nicki. They also tweet INCESSANTLY about Nicki more than Cardi… yes there are Barbz that do the same with Cardi but it’s definitely not in the same proportion. 
 

Nicki has experienced commercial failure several times in her career, has been through so many problematic moments but the stans never left because quite frankly they were there for her music first and foremost. I’m not sure Bardigang is the same - I feel like as soon as she flops and does sthg problematic, they’ll just run away because there’s nthg to spite Nicki with anymore
